Money?

so i have recently hit 90, obviously. im sure you high lvls can remember the kind of money problems that came up in the early 90s to pay for the TT 90 armor, skills, the weapon, ect. i have tried a few different ways to get some coin like TT runs(not very good money even in faction runs), farming mats, and a while back i got into the token merching, which seems to have hit a standstill since no one is sellign me tokens. so how would you suggest making coin?(besides the cube) i have heard rebirths can be very good coin, and is grinding even worth it at this lvl?

Making another character would be your best bet. The best money making methods available are cash shopping, merchanting (if you're good at it), and farming. Not everybody can cash shop, you need to be good at merchanting for it to really work.. and it can be kinda risky with all the constant game changes. Our class blows for farming, so you if you had the money I'd recommend making an interval char.. or if you are short on coin I'd recommend a cleric on your same account. Cleric's aren't as needed as they used to be, but its rare a squad would turn one down.. and it works great because you can share gear with your wizard so its a pretty cheap second character. Things like cube, GV, etc are more like passive money coming in while you do them, not really a money source that you can get all your gear from.

archers have a much easier time, when they wanna stay pure dex

they simply roll a sin with the same gear, all they need is rank and maybe theoptional nirvana weapon -.-
so when they increase all refines on the armor to +8, the char + farming alt benefit of it -_-


the most logical farming alt is the one that shares your gear = cleric
but clerics are a pain in the *** to play
no way of using spark macro and getting a drink

Last I checked, Wizards had pretty good AoEs. Just go smack around some spiders.

been grinding spiders for hours over hours

what we are missing is a reliable purify to pull 20-30 mobs and aoe them
or ironheart to stay alive while pulling and keeping mobs
ending up 1-2 shotting those spiders 1 by 1 with channeling gear
when they group, aoe

hours of full OVS pulls are not a good income either, since the DQ drop rate is extremely low
~100k/20min


nirvana 20min-runs ~500k+



ultimate solution
pick 5 hardcore wizard friends
and reroll as 3 BMs, 1 -int-barb, 1 assasin, 1 cleric
Profit!

Ingame your grinding speed is average and especially after 90 mobs will get significantly higher hp in heaven/hell so i suggest to farm mats to get coins. A 2nd char is also an option but i dont use a 2nd char since i want to lvl my wiz to 100 without hypers and so grinding gives me xp + coins + spirit. Delta should also be nice but you have to consider the charm you will need there + the minimum requirements statwise

@hexOmega: you are right 100% chance purify on elemental shell instead of 10% would make things a lot easier

one idea is skipping some parts of tt90.
while the pants are great, the boots kinda suck and the top isnt that good either.

or do what i did : Sell half of your wizard gear, make a 4 aps BM and then roll in enough cash to get both to rank8 just for lulz.

Anyway, back to Mizou question, yeah, I'm back. Played enough SC2 for a while , lol. I kinda' feel the need of a slower paced heart attk free game.

Cube does indeed make good money after 90. If you hang on to the pages of fate and sell them for 300k (they do sell for 300k, just need to have some patience), it's easy money. Golden/plat boxes sell to catshop in cube for a smal profit (or hope for lucky/sell them outside cube yourself. The last option takes a long time)

Grinding may not be fast but it does make you money, specially if you sell the DQ items for more than NPC vallue (those buying it for 2x price are actually riping you off, for those people theyr worth more than 2x NPC vallue).
If you grind anyway and are looking for a good mob with good drop rates, questing will take you to different mobs so you can try each one out (and the reward is always a fun bonus).

Long story short: It won't be fast, but you'll get there eventually

i don t find farming cube good coins at all cube has many rooms where u have 2 pay 100k coins and i ve gotten like 15 sadness cards and 1 ecstasy only so .... +if u get in a room where u need robber do alls or bull cards it gets really expensive for 300k coins u may even pay more
not 2 mention that u need a charm for the last 100 secs room if u don t wanna pay lots of do all cards
u re a wizard well farming is hard if u remember we got like 2 or 3 times 2x drops well when i was exacly 90 with tt 70 gear i made a lot of tts 2-3 i ended up with full tt 90 gear and 10mils 1 weak later
(that was on 2x drops it s useless 2 do tts w/o 2x drops ) ok now i m 100 and it s still hard 2 farm buti m not realy farming just doing bhs and pvp since i have my r8 i want 2 wait and see what genesis is like for wizzie
lot of ppl would tell u u re a wizard u should cashop or make tt 2-3 (and ALWATS be the subber if u actually wanna get something .....)
