Guess time to put my point of view on things..(and try to stay on topic)
I barely cash shop, not rich enough to do so but when I can , i do it to support the game.
Yeah some prices seem unfair, but like today.. Paid 20$ to a friend so he could charge Zens and buy me stuff then transfer to me (I have no paypal account, no CC and only way for me is Western Union which costs me 15$ fee..soo..no)
Anyway, with my 20$, what did I do ? A flyer for my barb, 7.5 gold..sold 10 gold at AH to have a bit of loose cash in game and gambled on 5 anniversary packs. My way of seeing things ? Was telling myself "Heck, if im just unlucky, that's 75 tokens, so almost 8 wines for my bh's or needed flawlesses for armor/wep"
If u put cash ingame hoping to get the best, u will be deceived, yah.. if u put cash in game to support it (despite some flaws still need fixing...) and gamble with it..tell yourself this.. Some packs have 97% chance to have 15 tokens. So theroicly speaking, out of 100, u could get just 1 455 tokens and 3 with ok stuff (or none). But hey...on my server u can sell those tokens about 9.5k each easy..That's still 13.8 millions or so.. You know how much time farming that saves to someone who don't farm TT/nirvana/warsong ?
Just enjoy the game.. if u are ready to invest, tell yourself right off "Ok i'm mentally prepared to get tokens" or even tell yourself "I WILL get tokens" Maybe one day, luck will turn in your favor b:victory
Total packs bought since end of last March : Maybe 30...29 times 15 tokens and a soul relic..
Made money ? No
Can still enjoy a Free to PLAY game ? YupProud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle0 -

You don't need it to level realistically at all. In fact, this game has far less of a grind than most MMOs. I got to level 80 just fine with pure grinding. Not only that, but because I leveled slowly, I actually know how to play my class unlike the typical fail speed leveler.2nd: I'm still here right? ~edited~ I paid my real life money for your 12x exp~edited~ it because you intentionally made it so that I need it to level at all realisticly..

Seriously, I've gamed since my father took me to his work to play King of Hannurabi on a PDP-8. I have hours under my belt(sp) in this ****. I've spent a little over $4k in the first year I played this game and I still don't have their attention. None of our opinions matter here.

Up the % make it so those of us that are willing to spend money to be kick ~edited~ are actually rewarded...
2nd: I'm still here right? ~edited~ I paid my real life money for your 12x exp~edited~ it because you intentionally made it so that I need it to level at all realisticly.. Then you stiff 1 hour for 24 in the dark at 10%? How about this.. How about I stop purchasing ~edited~ from you and laugh at your starving children?

I think you just made the QQ rant of the year. there are more ways than the cash shop to do well in this game not to mention a vast variety of gears to choose from to make a decent toon. Oh, btw, nobody should ever pay their "real life money" to buy Hyper Stones. That would be a massive fail, since 1 Gold gets you just 4 Hyper Stones. The smart thing to do would be to sell 1 Gold and get ~900k, which buys 90 Tokens, which makes 11 Hyper Stones.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You are essentially complaining that:
- People spent money gambling
- You spent money gambling
- Some people won things
- You did not
Example?
- Blowing $300 on lottery tickets and coming out with more tickets or $50
- Blowing $300 in Vegas (low amount for Vegas but w/e) and coming out drunk from all the free drinks by the slots and the kiss mark on your cheek from the cross-dressing guy you mistakenly thought was a girl <- the latter part is a joke for the morons
- Blowing $300 woofing down McDonalds during their Monopoly event and coming out with a McCoronary/McHeartAttack and a useless piece of paper with tabs that look like the Monopoly game with maybe a few free burgers.
In the end, most people come out with a loss. That's how it works. I've opened maybe 300 packs and the best I've got was a primeval stone, several best luck tokens, and a couple charms. My wife has opened about half that and got a Scroll of Tome, Helm of Holy Punishment, and several other things, and this luck translates to opening random books from Book/Mysterious Pages. That is how luck works.
If you don't know the risks involved with gambling, don't do it. You could have spent the $300 and got ~ 250 million coins. There was no gamble in that.
