lucky glitch with camera rotation

I was so happy. Earlier today I was using my keyboard to move my toon and I noticed that as long as I was standing still I could use the move left and move right keys to rotate the camera in those directions rather than move my character. If I used move right or left with with up or down my character moved diagonally like usual and if I released the up or down I just moved left or right with the camera remaining stationary. If I was just standing there and pressed the move right or left keys then the camera rotated. It was fabulous. I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I played for a long time like this thinking I may never use my mouse again but then it was time to go. Just now I logged back on and guess what. No can do now. So sad I had to log out. I truly thought I had something there for moment. I can't imagine I was doing anything different but something was going on. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Did I do something that I'm not aware of to achieve this feat or was this just a brief and beautiful glitch?

If you want this kind of behaviour, go to Settings (press "u") and on the "Game" tab check the "A,D keys" box.

BTW, this is the default behaviour whenever you are flying or swimming, so perhaps that's what was happening.

I didn't think to mention it because I didn't think it mattered but I was flying. Thank you so much for that info. I never hovered the zoom or a/d key boxes because that line appears to be preceded by the word attack and I wasn't interested in using the zoom or a/d keys for attacking. Both boxes are now checked and your help has resulted in two game play improvements for me. Thank you again.
