Elf Wings + Mana

Can someone Explain to me why using my Starter Elf Wing Drains my mana because i was told by someone that it doesn't but when i try and fly it drains my mana

    Clerics have high Mana Regeneration so it doesn't drain mana for them.

    We Archers have a lower Mana Regeneration so our mana is drained.

    A solution is to get +MP Regen gear, you only need +2 MP/s to have infinite flying time.

    Usually you can find it on random gear in the Auction House, I use a Cape of Tauren Chieftain but it requires level 69 to wear. Ask around and check the Auction House - that sort of gear isn't hard to find.
