No.It will never be fixed as long as it doesn't happen to much.

I get it every time I land from flying (on all classes) and try to talk to NPC. I just get yanked up and back and up and back every time I try to move foward.

My connection is fine, and it only happens upon landing. For example, if I do my daily shards, and fly off to turn in the quest, then fly back to the NPC to wait for my counter to end.

The moment I land near the NPC, this rubber-banding starts. To me, it happens this same way every time, but to any NPC I tend to land around.

It's happen a lot to the point people avoid jumping, flying, and path where they didn't stay in touch with the ground.

It's feel ridiculous to always have to prepare character to fly back just before landing so i didn't get rubber band . . or just simply falling from less than a meter height . .

I just love how everyone assumes this. Most of the people who assume this have also gotten many things in game that wouldn't exist (or be nearly impossible to get) without packs. Try making a lunar cape from the actual mats and see how long it takes you. (Just an example, don't flame me cause you know someone who did or whatever)

Jusy saying, I personally don't think PWI is a money hungry company who doesn't care about game issues. But obviously my opinion is outweighed by all the negative ones... >.>

EDIT: Rubberbanding in TW has gotten me killed so many times. >.<

Everyone assumes this because it's the truth. I am also not one of those people who got things that would not exist without packs. And honestly, if you don't think PWI is a money hungry company that doesn't care about game issues, then you've been living under a rock being completely oblivious to what has been going on around you.

    Game is dead.

No, he's not living under a rock, but you're living under a bridge.
You're level 83, and I'm going to go out on a whim here and guess that you troll the forums too much, get caught up in the rage, believe what all the negative people on the forums say, and write the game off before you even try it.

Should items being easy to get from packs be reason for certain people who actually farmed those things to be mad? Hell yeah they have the right.
But I have the feeling you didn't farm your own lunar cape (since this is the example)
I have the feeling that you feed off of the anger of those you surround yourself with on the forums.
And I feel sorry for you, that you would quit a game because of other people's issues with it.

No. Why do you think the GM's don't respond to this issue? Because they are completely aware of it and they know that the devs have absolutely no intention of fixing it because there is no money to be made from it. They'd rather sit around and think of new packs to sell to the ignorant people.

    Game is dead.
    Meme is old.

GM's dont respond to this issue? Please.
The devs know about the rubberbanding, and they've already been working to minimize it in some areas.

As for the lack of other exciting stuff in the patch notes, the devs are currently working on a lot of content that simply can't be announced yet. Trust me, we'll announce it as soon as we get the green light.
Yeah, rubber-banding is a complete pain when it happens, I agree with you--

From what I understand, it's actually a side effect of certain anti-**** programming that was done for the game (specifically, a speed ****).

The good news, though, is that the devs have been working to minimize it, as shown in the patch notes three weeks agoHopefully they'll continue improving it over time, making rubber-banding a far less frequent occurrence.
This "rubber-banding" has been reported to the devs; please use the search function to find other threads about this instead of creating a new one.

    Thanks!

I don't know what "responding" entails to you, but if by that you mean respond to every **** wad loser post accusing them of never responding, I wouldn't respond to you either if I were them. Great logic though, "game is dead" poster #4582342. Now you see why you get made fun of.

Rubber banding was added by pwi as a fix to people using speed hacks. They will never fix it.
    This.

I have a multi-core computer that is flaky at running PWI unless I disable multi-core. What happens is that the game gets out of sync somehow and everything starts happening at +500% speed. Animations become hyper-active, channeling becomes instant, APS goes through the roof, and I can pretty much teleport instantly across the map, at which point the rubber-band kicks in and prevents me from doing so.

That's not with any cheat program, either, but rather just some weird multi-core bug.

So I can imagine if they've got armies of cheaters trying to use speed-hacks then the rubber-band code is necessary. Yes, they definitely need to improve it to reduce false positives, but disabling it isn't an option due to cheaters.
