    But if there are popups?... ya, thats uncool. Make em' go away, they lend a bad image to the forums of PWE... like we really need more of that here, right? Am I right?? Course I am.

    I never knew they have popup ads in here - I thought it was just the banner on the top (that simply says nothing). I don't even have Adblock (using Opera - oh wait, that might be why).

    What ads?I'm using IE and don't have any pop-ups or any sign pop-ups are blocked.Check everywhere including inside my pants and I'm pretty sure it's not in my head.

    Kage it's the freaking ads RIGHT NEXT to your avatar pic at the top....... sometimes they just POP out flling the width of the thread almost. you'lll be scrollign the page then wonder why it's not scrolling... then realize that popped out and have to click on the side somewhere to pop it back to normal.. >.< And I'm on IE too and all u "bragging" that your'e using Firefox or w/e..... so what? **** like this is a little annoying but i havent' had a SINGLE problem with IE EVER.

    hmm you are playing a game FOR FREE, using their forum FOR FREE and you begrudge them making a couple of cents a click (if lucky) by having Google Adsense ads on their web page..

    some of you people (such as op) need to learn that things in the real world COST MONEY.

    PWE have no control over the mechanics of the ad, if an advertiser chooses to have a popup element that is permitted by adsense then it will pop up. These are few and far between in the banner adverts though so if you are getting lots it would suggest that one of your browser addins or toolbars is playing dirty and popping them up.

    Adware or your browser has some broken script permissions.

    There are no pop-ups on this site.

    Also, IE Works, Firefox takes up additional space on my hardrive, looks like the rough end of your uncles **** and performs like it too.

    Il carry on using IE and having no problems since you know, I can use computers and dont have to be babied through by some slow *** cluttered fail browser like Opera, FF or Chrome.

    peacefulsilence and some of you are obviously too "dumb" to realize what we'r talking about here.... and calling us too stupid to use IE's feature peaceful? We're not talking about POP UP WINDOWS with ads that IE has a blocker for... we're talking about the random AD that's ON THE PAGE next to YOUR AVATAR at the top that like i said that sometimes POPS OUT.......... notice the word sometimes..... I've seen it happen this week but i haven't seen it at all tonight...

    Micheal i BUILT my pc.... i've dabbled in programming.. **** i still remember how to use DOS. I'd STILL rather Use IE simply cause I've never had problems with it. In fact I dl'ed firefox once... not sure i'm sleepy and it's been awhile but i think it looked butt ugly to me. lol And i tihnk i hated the layout. Idk...

    The real power of FF is that it has a wide base of user add-ons. You can customize it to work however you want. I have about a dozen add-ons, without them I feel like I'm browsing crippled.

    For example, just Textarea Cache alone is worth switching. Ever write a lengthy post and you lose it? Not anymore. Open the cache I can even recover text from a post I decided not to post.

    Then there's image zoom, linkification, history search, download statusbar, screengrab, noscript, cooliris, tabscope, quickdrag... and so on.

    It's not that IE8 is bad. It's really not. It's just that you can alter FF to work best for you.

    It's an amazing plugin. I love it. Just click on the little icon on the bottom right of your status bar.... it brings up a window, and you can page through all of the different things it has cached, click 'copy and paste' and viola, ready to continue. It's changed my life. As nerdy as it sounds, it's totally true.

    Damn um.... that cache thing sounds useful.... I Have lost posts b4 one way or another. Or like i fill a form out on a site then .... say it's a tech support page i'd fill in a lengty explanation then hit send..... and didnt' realize i missed a required line. Damn site sends me back to fill it out and poof my explanation's gone...... Image zoom i can do with Nvidia's driver's program (all the diff tabs in the settings). history search? barely use my browsing history..... if i do it's not hard to find the site u were on...

    Last i checked IE had a DL status bar or % bar or w/e....

    Screen grab? that sounds like um, hit the print screen button and open Paint Shop Pro 10.

    forgot what coloris is but i can add that to yahoo widgest or IE or something i forget. If i wanted.

    no clue what linkification or tabscope or quickdrag is.

    but ya uh that textcache thing's got me thinking.... lol
