Decomposing question (noob here btw)

So this is a really stupid question, but how do you decompose material? I have a lvl. 1 weapon and i brought it to a blacksmith and i have a lvl. 1 blacksmith skill. i tried to decompose the weapon by putting it in the slot, but i can't click start. i have no idea what to do :( can someone help me?

    That's just a guess, but my guess is that the weapon is "too low" so it can't be decomposed.

    Again, just a guess. Since you said "lvl 1 weapon" I'd dare say that it's your starting weapon? In that case, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it can't be decomposed.

    Check the recipes to see what the lowest character level for blacksmith lvl 2 weapons is, and try decomposing a weapon with a character level below that that you got off a monster. Maybe it works better :-)
