yes, it is. if you have the mindset. real life money plays no factor, only makes the game easier to lazy people.

if you don't have a farm alt yet - don't bother.

I play mine to have fun and despite being constantly pked just because I am perceived as a free kill I continue to enjoy my character. Don't be put off from this class if you really like it, the idea is to enjoy the game the way you like.

    Most Certainly,

imo Wizards are easily the most-fun class to play. Sure, you die quite often (and I'm sure more so on a PvP server) but that can be fun, sometimes :P

I don't think we're beastly in PvP, but if you look at Adroits video's, you'll see how much fun a Wiz CAN have in PvP :P Nurfed's videos are also enlightening. I also hear we have an OK-ish time in TW b:victory

I don't think my wiz would be this fun if he was AA though..I really don't know how AA's manage to stick at it till 90. I congratulate you ! :P

Maybe it's different on a PvP server, but on Heaven's Tear you don't need epic gear just to get through the levels. PvP is optional here, and theres still TW. Wizards might be a pain for most instances, and terrible in PvP unless ubergeared. But it's fun when you see that BM's health drop when your Glacial Snare crits. It's fun when your **** 5second heal saves a guy in your squad. It's fun when your hitting 9x LA's for half their HP with Sandstorm.

Also, Wizard requires you to be alert at all times. And this is just in PvE!

Despite how difficult a Wizard may be to play, I'd recommend them to anyone, no matter how underpowered and tedious the class is. Simply, because...I love them <3

If you like the way the character works play a wiz if you dont roll another class but if you choose wiz dont expect to be the uber DD nor the PvP god.

As a wiz you'll never be the pro dps class, or the back up tank.

But we CAN be epic in PvP and we most defintly ARE epic in TW

We're epic in PvP combat simply because we have the ability to bypass the opponents charm. Get them to 55-65% hp, then sleep them, extreme poison, unleash an Ultimate skill, and they are most likely dead.
And if you crit with the ultimate? Their computer crashes, all their gear shatters, and a random person in souther Italy instantly dies.

    Hope that was enlightening b:cute

Man lol idk about all the carebears on pve server but on pvp server with decent gear u can still be godly in pk. theres still ways for us to beat sins as wizzy ive killed loads of them even when there tryn to stealth. Sins are just as squishy as wizzys b:chuckle

We can do fine against everything except sins. Most the sins on the server suck balls, but when you fight a good one.. there is no strategy that will even give you a chance against them. Sins are actually far harder to kill than a wizard is.

There are enough good sins out there where they are a pain. I would argue that there are more well geared sins on the server than wizards but I don't really have anything to prove that. Having their very own portable safezone, anti death skill, and ability to dodge skills gives sins better survivability than us.

Just as squishy? An equa-geared sin will have higher p-def and lower m-def, there's no arguing that (well maybe with stone barrier? but i still think our p-def is lower tbh)

And the sins have MUCH better survivability than us.

Force stealth if you don't like how events are unfolding.
Anti-stun speed buff if you don't feel like being slowed down.
25% chance for any skill to deal 1 damage, and yes that includes your flashy ultimates.
Survive an attack that should've killed you and regenerate 20% hp

and one or two more that I'm forgetting.

no, they have LESS pdef, Equal geared

tt99 ornaments dont add that much
i dunno at what average refine they would have more thanks to rings-refine

at least i have more pdef then my archer/sin friends >_>
