Evening everyone,


We will be having server maintenance tonight from:



11:00pm PST until 1:00am PST



And to kick off the usual maintenance conversation, a quick hypothetical:


It's the future. February 2011. Genesis is finally here. You download the patch, boot up the client. You're at the character select screen. What is the first thing you do?

    Log on my BM after fully making a new seeker on my second account, then boot up my laptop and run that seeker through FF with 100 hypers :D

    Log on, look at the new races, mess around in char creation, think, then log my Cleric to get Nirvana keys and then load my Sin.

    I know how bad it was when the RT patch came online, im not going to suffer that lag and overcrowding. No ****ing way.

    Log onto my Blademaster, turn on Cloud Sprint, run across a flat surface and rubberband 30 times before the client crashes. Let's not forget all the new bugs too! :D

    fb for earthguard isnt even a cave - just a guy standing in a jungle south westish of the new city - prepare for KS city if everyone rolls and gets to 19 at the same time lol.. or hope everyone does an Oracle 1 and queues up for a shot at it.

    Log into my cleric and hope not all the other level 100s are playing a new character and get her BHs done before making a new character from one of the new classes.
    I level the old- fashioned way.

    make a new char, maybe 2 then log my veno and go looking for new pets and not play the new char(s) until things have calmed down just like I did with RT expantion.

    But seriously, here's this week's early "unofficial" download link: Patch 456 (9.3 MB)

    As usual, do not install the patch until after the servers go down for maintenance.

    Probably nothing major this patch, but sometimes they sneak things in the small patches. Hopefully we can get last week's patch notes along with this week's patch notes? b:thanks

    Make my mystic, and use the stuff i got stashed away to get a head start on getting away from the newly formed lag singularity.

    At least this time you can walk to plume to get away for a bit starting out. In RT you are kinda stuck there unless you wanna swim through dragon infested waters until you get tele unlocked by quests.

    first i check to see if the characters/account limit's changed in the genesis patch. then i go play my veno for another few months, until most of the blatant bugs get worked out of the earthguard. maybe after that it'll be worth creating a ninth and tenth character to try out the new classes --- i'm not bothering with a new account.

    Yes, a 2.3% increase in Rubberbanding (Compounded by the last 60 patches) and a new sale, not to mention another glitch or 5most likely.
