well i been wondering aswell in forum as ingame why do people need to act all -i -kno-more-than-you and be rude aswell oke fine you kno a lot we got it , there is no need for rudeness rly .-. to me its not understandable why people need to be rude if someone askes a weird/ "noobish" question you could just answer the questions nicely instead of giving a bad attitude are these plp just rude irl aswell? or do they think caus nobody sees them they can write however they wish...

I remember when I used to never see anyone being rude/ignorant in this game, but now this game can be compared to several other MMORPGs that have very bad in game verbal abuse.0

some of the 'rudeness' is probably down to exasperation at the same question/thread being made for the 1000th time. I personally am amazed (or should that be shocked) that the internet generations seem unable to grasp the concept of searching. I am not sure what is to blame for this, but search engines have been common within websites for a long time now. Maybe I am just old and weary, but I always get a sense of achievement when i find something out for myself (and I mean in life/work not just online) but there does seem to be an increase lately in new players who would rather someone else tell them the answer than finding it out for themselves.

hun, some things need to be repeated as plp dont search go check cleric forums and see how many sage/demon questions there are even thought they have been asked millions of times so i just repeat it for the lazy plp[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

It's not only that. In my experience, there's high-level people rude to low-level people, cash-shoppers rude to non-CSers(and vice-versa), and much more. Funny thing is, many of them are so used to telling noobs off(as opposed to "newbs") that if they come across an intelligent, articulate person who calls them out for it, sometimes they're either too dumbfounded to retort or don't have a solid argument to back themselves up. Edit: Oh and it doesn't actually help that there's no report button on forum posts. Trolls and flames go unchecked here, with only the most severe of instances being noticed by mods.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
do what i do, if you see a post that you think goes over the line, just copy the URL, and send a PM to the mod squad. one of the four usually deals with it - although it may take a hour or so depending on their time zones.
If it is a particularly heinous or repetitive abuse - ie making multiple flame baiting or abusive threads all over the forum in a short pace of time, copy in FrankieRaye and more often than not you will find the abuser is given a short sharp kick in the reply button.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

it is all a part of the Christmas holiday spirit.... around this time of the year people get angry for no reason and flip out. I know this because they flip out at my job... I'm having trouble maintaining my own sanity and had come close to putting a bullet in my head just to end the pain and suffering of Christmas drivers, shoppers, and flaming complainers that come out of no where... but I'm hanging in there... for now.... but one more Christmas season like this and I might really put that bullet in my head.0

Well.... many wear their ingame rank/title on their sleeves in the forum. Some, just are ~edited~ all the time (ingame & out) and some of this comes from ingame or forum history with others.
Are they rude IRL? That would surmise they have someone IRL to be rude.. to. My guess is alot of the meaner ones live under a rock and gently embrace their pcs that they often refer to as "MY Precious"....[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I hate being surrounded by clerics in arch and asking for buffs for tiger event and getting totally ignored. Luckily a friend came on, but seriously if I had a cleric and I was just standing around the banker anyways I'd be like "anyone want buffs? squad me before I go afk, log, go to event, or whatever."
I appreciate it when I randomly get buffed while out in the field, which is actually rather frequent, so I guess it have some karma to balance lol.
Also in cube, in the bored rooms, why do some people feel the need to run over to you when you are in a corner and QQ that you stun them? I usually stop attacking them, but seriously wtf are you thinking when you buff your herc and run, or cloudsprint, over to the only other person in the room thinking they aren't gonna assume you are gonna try and kill them? Since there are plenty of people that stand in bored rooms looking to gank people all day, I don't get it.
I'm sorry to anyone I had to fight/smack on the nose with a rolled up newspaper in the last few weeks in cube trying to get to room 38. I hate pk in mmos like this where the average fight lasts 10 sec or less, and think if you go into cube specifically to pk in bored rooms then you are just griefing as bad as those tools that do it in room 1 corner.
Ganking people in 14 and 34 is fine, tho not really a fair fight usually lol
I'm glad to be finished with cube until my mystics culti, assuming they get 100 skills that rock. Otherwise I'm fine with only one char finishing the culti.
WC can get downright ridiculous some days. I mean its always 90% idiotic ego inflating, but often they will all attack one person in particular for hours at a time. Deservedly or not, how is it ok to publicly bash someone over WC on a near daily basis for hours at a time?
Especially when its like 20 people doing it to one person (who everyone has BL anyways lol).
If that kind of **** happened in RL no one would tolerate it, but apparently because the person in question seems to encourage the hate willfully rather than report harrassment its ok that we all have to put up with reading the garbage everyday? The thing here is... the people making the rude WC do not see how bad they make their Legions look... and the Legion officers should not tolerate it. Either they have control of their people, or they do not.
People seem to be the boldest with words, when more of their buddies are standing behind them to back them up. But I have to respect the one that will try to fight at it alone, or just walk off and say...whatever..
The moment I see someone started up in WC being an idiot, a 'hey look at me - I can buy tons of trumpets' or bashing others.... they go on BL.
People on my BL, I also never see on WC asking for help or selling items... or even call out to me in open chat when they are getting GB by mobs, boss or other players... and I certainly cannot hear them when I am WCing an item they need for the price they need it -- and they whisper they want to buy.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Question wise, i'll answer just about anything I know on this game. But if they ask me multiple times like their brain has 0 memory capacity, I WILL bite their heads off.

Your very considerate to let people know your willing to buff them if they need it.
but usually the people attending said event usually are already buffed and dont give a rats **** about anyone else, cause hey, without buffs your more than likely to die faster than they are which grants them more room. I.E. OP's example on rudeness/nasty-ness towards people.
What i noticed so far too is the more "veteran" players either moan about Mp costs or the time it costs on certain things and lets face it, casting a buff-ring ( all 4 buffs ) is a total of 4270 Mana.( thats all lvl 10 ) do that often enough and you'll be seeing your charm tick or your food's decrease.
they'll QQ even more now with the current economy and if their in a TW faction, dear lawd, there's no end to it =.=;;.
Dont get me wrong i agree with you on some part but i can also see their side, it's a costly thing to present yourself as a buff-machine.

I agree here and it's also where most of the stuck up snobs come into play as well.
I got several cube runs completely ruined because of these 2 runs and 1 simply because a bm felt the need to.
Room 14 and 34 are a serious pain, specially for people with a much less fortunate graphics card or a steady i-net connection. I lost count on the times i ported into these said rooms and immediately got ported into room 1 again cause i didn't even had time to fricking load the damn room.
these rooms i cant really be bothered with if i die, cause.. yeah it's kinda part of the cube *shrugs*, part that does **** me off is i dont even get the chance to succesfully get my puzzle cube, which by then will be stuck inbetween the process of your die-arrival.
Quest gets stuck in your questlog cause you got killed to quick and voila your run ends right there and then.
part whats gotten pretty much furiated, and many people with me, is the fact you get killed for no reason at all.
I.E: due to an actual life i sometimes HAVE to afk, i'll be damn sure not to do so in room 14 or 34 cause yeah... thats your own mistake.
But as i was walking back to my lap top i see a BM port in behind me and without hesitation kills me.
i was standing idle near the NPC in a room where it isn't even mandatory to kill someone to get your dice.
i whispered the guy and told him that was an A-hole move and totally uncalled for.
he replied to me saying i needed to QQ moar, i was a noob and cube was meant for PK and therefor i shouldn't do cube. -deskplants- sure, dude.
hope he's proud if he/she sees PK as "i'll attack and try kill anything that cant fight back or doesn't have the opportunity and be smug about it."
I dont know -much- about PK but i do know, or at least like to assume, THAT isn't part of it.
anyway, people like that always seem to have a reason on justifying their stuck of rude behaviour. which to them in completely valid.

We were talking about this in faction chat the other day and being on a pvp server one person said... I challenge you to find one nice high lvl sin on the whole server (90+). Nobody can do it.... The conversation unavoidablly went down the path that many people seem to agree with... Majority of high lvl people... (Once they get up there) just become real a-holes. Doesn't matter what you say or what you do. Doesn't matter your lvl or your game experience they are gonna verbally abuse and pk you at there hearts content.
Saying most high lvls are that way not all.... Got a few 100's and 9x's in faction that go out of there way daily to help people.
As for the knowledge base... Was in ether blade last night dueling and chatting with a 7x sin, 7x bm, 7x barb, and a 9x bm about builds, pvp, stats, tt, and fc runs in nomal chat. Some low lvl bm came up and started telling us how to play the game and commenting on the 7x sins gear. He said brb and came back with a 9x sin red as can be..... Kept talking and yapping telling us all how great he was.... Finally dueled the 7x sin (which has been playing pwi for 2 years with multiple high lvl toons) and the 9x lost (which didn't go to well with him because then came the flames like nobodies business)

The only time people are rude to me is when I'm on cleric. I tend to not play cleric a lot now for that reason. I still do enjoy doing BH and helping others but I stay away from ff. I will get lvl 100 in time but not with rude ff spammers.0

Of course we're rude.The internet has granted us a cloak on seemingly impenetrable anonymity and some people take advantage of this by creating spam,flame bait and trolling.
However,note that not all people are adults and are actually in fact little kids who stole their parents' credit card with no regard for the consequences and think they are rich.One must also blame the parents and educational institutes for not inculcating such moral values into these children.Parents obvously want to get the children over and done with so they comply to the kid's every want even if it involves sleeping with someone you don't want to sleep with.
In a materialistic world where some people are becoming more selfish and less thoughtful of others,I propose my grand solution to solve this problem.
BURN THE ENTIRE HUMAN POPULATION TO ASHES.
