Attack Stance?!?!?!

I set my pet to atytac stance and it doesnt attack stuff automatically

I also tried defensive stnce and i got attacked and it didnt attack back

both times i had to manually command it

Also sometimes i send my pet to attack something and another random creature comes to attack me how do i stop that?

    Theoretically, it should attack mobs that you attack and mobs that are hostile to the pet...

    Unfortunately this game has it's fair share of bugs, and then some. Pet stances tend to glitch out and there really isn't any good way around it. Personally, I just leave my pets in manual mode as it makes things like pulling a mob via tame easier. I also know exactly what my pet is doing at all times.

    *shrug*, it's just something you get used to.

    There's nothing that can stop mobs from aggro'ing on you if they have an aggro radius. With some practice and expirimentation, you can learn how to position yourself so that mobs won't be attacking you while you're dealing with another one. With a little more practice, you can learn how to position the mobs you're fighting into a more convenient location. (We've got a few threads that talk about luring- that'd be a good place to start for more on that topic.)

    On defensive stance pet usually attacks whatever attacks ya

    BUT

    It doesn't work on Poison/Fire DoT attacks(e.g. Poison/Burning)

    It's a bug?,probably

    Eh, I've had it bug out on melee type mobs too.

    It seems to have more problems when you've been switching stances around a lot.

    I never had this issue o,o^,defense stance always worked for melee types for me.

    This is probably it. I've noticed it mainly when I did a lot of pet levelling between doing bigger things. Pets were on manual for the tricky things and the low level punks that needed to be caught up were kept on defend. The little buggers liked to sit still and not attack anything, even though I was taking a few hits.

    Stupid clarification: I did check to make sure the stance was what I thought it should be.

    Your pet doesn't do a thing cuz it is a lazy slacker

    I've noticed that after changing pet stance you need to move (as much as needed for the pet to make at least one step) for it to click in. Seems like a bug, or at least a glitch.
