Demon Pole/Sword BM (on skills)

What should I get 1st?
I like the effect that Demon Mage Bane turns to AOE pretty much and I like speed before power from the spark

but I want your input, what skills should I have

u got to keep in mind the AOE range of the skill, yeah it turns it aoe.

but its only 3 meters. swords have an melee range of 3. axes have a melee range of 3.5

3 meters isnt really ganna aoe anything.

trust me on that.. barb first tiger form aoe surf impact has an aoe of 4.2 meters at lvl 1. even that that range its useless as an aoe.

aoe needs to have a range of at least 5 to really hit anything other than the initial mob

Don't waste any skill points on pole or sword skills if you want any chance of doing frost... even bh squads might lol.

If you're a pure sword/pole build, you should have gone sage.

@Furries I was fearing that, I also seen some other demon skills that are not that bad, I'll keep not on that

Dark you shouldnt pick on icefail, its amusing watching him try to kill decently geared players, I believe the longest I have waited for him to try and kill me was 10 mins before I occulted and killed him only ticked twice when I was alt tabbed posting something on guild forums.

Biggest problem with sword and spear skills is

1. no decent zerk swords (level 90 zerk weapons just dont cut it at later levels even refined to +10 and refining a level 90 zerk sword to +10 is a waste of coin), myriad sounds good in theory but honestly in practice the debuff is useless in pvp(-50% weapon damage is nothing considering at 100 all players have a base of 500-600% weapon damage), good for pve though as mobs are based purely on 100% weapon damage so I do recommend having it at higher levels even if you use a lowbie sword to activate it can save you in GV/Warsong if the BB goes down.

2. poles while they have zerk options (lunar, 1st cast nirvana) lack the spike power that axes have, glacial doesnt have a large enough effect the pdef debuff isnt high enough to scare anyone with decent gear/buffs, and if your going to use axes for dragon you may as well get good axes and use them to spike damage too (2nd recast or r9 both hit way harder than the zerk pole options), sage farstrike with a strong +10 or higher zerk pole is passable for taking out a target as they run but honestly +10ing a weapon for a single skill is a waste unless you CS alot

3. dont even get started on purge poles which honestly are a pve weapon, only use them in 1v1s if you have no chance of killing the player without purging them as the time it takes to proc would normally have resulted in a kill if you were just stun locking and dding.

4. Extra stuns from sword and pole arent 100% ones so they tend not to proc when you need them especially vs good players in pvp fights

5. The extra range on the weapons can sometimes stuff up a stunlock as you actually need to move in after switching pole to axe for bash and vs rank9 mages missing a stun could be all it takes to cause you to end up going to town via the express route.

Purge is kind of essential vs me and happy otherwise its impossible to get us without triple sparking (even cancelcast DBB cant quite get me if im EP buffed let alone barb buffed)

its me just having terrible ping lately, although even with 2k+ ping I still destroy most the players on the server in 1v1 or group pvp battles, havent had a decent challenge in a while about the only fun I have atm is attacking 2-3 rank8s and seeing if I can kill them all before they can get me, mofos in china atm so he cant play at all on his chars damn IP blocking.

Also who was playing your sin at archo event? its not like you to try triple sparking on me with sin as its just not effective against bms we have too many avoidance skills (bodhi, leap) and you cant really use skills and 5aps with fist on your sin. Actually archo event was fun me and happy would basically fly around archo killing people till it got to 8+ vs us 2 and then pick a new spot.

I didn't really have a choice now do I? Can't exactly auto you to death on Sin with fists and Sin doesn't have DBB. Might be different when I stat back to daggers later. It's suppose to be sleep then triple spark and stun before sleep is up, but mobs kept waking you b:cold.

Im actually not entirely sure that sleep lasts long enough, as I frequently leap out of other sins sleep + spark combos before they can get a stun off but that could be lag on their end I guess. I will probably check it out later when I see you out of SZ as your normally around when I am, QQ for traveling though as its near christmas I can hardly play only a couple of hours at night from the hotels as we go from place to place visiting family then again its the only time I see most of them so its worth the trips.

Also those guards are fun 12 damage each and they chase me for ever just cause im slightly red (161 hrs or so). Although in my defence happy did all the RPKing I just helped kill the crimsons that came to stop him lol

lolz i never put out there im one to take out a bm but yes i have destroyed OPbms and mich trust me dude you suck bad u cant even stun lock with out havning to use occultice you suckd balls with ya sword (remeber owning when you was 7or 8 lvls higher than me) and u still suck with fists hahahah why dont u try to kill a r8 with out fists then come bak to me and say im fail fool lol just another fist bunny hehehe
