This is message is for the devolepers of pw i realy like the snow for cristmas and all and it really hes very pretty , but seriousely it lags the all ****ing server out is there anyway you ppl could remove the snow from archausaur at least plz?
Everyone who agrees whit me and whould like to support this change plz fell free to comment so they know that its not only 1 person issue here in question thanks.

    Late reply but here goes, NO. Simply no, even with everyone on the forums agreeing with you it would just barely make up 20% of the people who play the game. They will not stop the snow just for a small % of people can stop lagging.

    I love the snow, i hate the snowmen combined with duke making general chat impossible to keep up with.

    I don't think devs visit the forums, and if they do they're very sneaky about it.
    Also, I don't get any lag with the snow/snowmen o.O

    turn your effects down, if you put effects at minimum snow disappears. (put it back up when you leave)

    Best Performance Button = Wonders! =D If you can't play with Best performance on.. then I think its time you update your computer's softwares. My old computer probably couldn't even handle this game anymore, but I got a new one last year and it runs PW perfectly (almost) all the time.

    Devs won't read this and it is only for couple of weeks not like there hasn't been lag out of the Arch.

    And seriously... even my netbook can handle PWI in arch..
    Might not run really fluent but why would I need that in town.

    Wrong way to do it. Instead of asking the application to lower its standards, think about what youre running it on. Maybe you should upgrade instead of making them downgrade for a few players.

    I agree with those saying the complaining players should upgrade their computer instead of expecting PW to go by the lowest technical standards.
    But as much as I don't care abot snow & snowmen, I hate the text that appears in common chat all the time when a snowman gets hit. After days and weeks reading the same dumb jokes by force over and over again I really got sick of them. And I don't wanna turn common chat off, cause I like to see what people sell and buy or type something myself - which is the original meaning of that chat imo. I wonder why every event has to come with text spamming anyway.
    PW should at least add a duke text box or event box for those that actually care for that kind of stuff -.- ("Oh, xyz got a Scroll of Tome again! KOS! KOS!")

    my computer has 8 G ram and a 512 Mb dedicated graphic plate and i still lag way more now on archausaur then what i should >.<

    I'm not quite sure what's wrong with you then, lol. I was one on those cheap players that ran PWI from a netbook since just about one week ago, and started around open beta. The stats on my netbook:
    -Windowx XP SP3
    -1GB RAM
    -50GB Hardrive space
    -Intel atom processor
    -No dedicated on-board graphics card (LOL!)
    = Minor lag only in Arch w/ the snow effects

    Check your ping - could be your ISP connection/latency. Could be your PC (Modem card, degrafmentation, scan for viruses, chkdisk, registry cleaner, etc).

    depends on a lot of stuff, but yeah, bad coding in PWI gfx engine is nothing new.

    My PC is running CoD-Black Ops on HD res with all settings maxed at over 50 fps.
    Sill, I have under 20 fps in the middle of Archos, maxed out gfx settings.

    I hate the white **** that falls over Archos and I hope it will be over soon.

    I run on a ZX Spectrum 16k no lag for me login takes along time though as the tape deck plays up some times ..

    what ? Whaaat ? i thought you were talking about pacman b:chuckle

    Seriously though check the latency ingame it may be your ISP more than your PC

    Snow doesn't cause me any lag at all -- none at least in Archosaur that I don't already have due to a ton of players and catshops.

    Developers are ignoring important things like graphical revamps, holes and bugs, and rubberbanding....(list goes on and on)

    Do you HONESTLY think they give a bloody d@mn about your snow issues?
