    Hello, and welcome:)

First of all, pvp starts at lvl 30. you can change the setting to pvp or pve after you get to lvl 30 no matter which server you re on. But you ll get there very fast.

There are some differences in pvp play between pvp and pve servers. on pvp servers, after you re lvl 30 your name goes white. which means anyone can attack you and you can not stop them from attacking you. on pve server you can prevent people from attacking you and choose when your name will be white. this looks like a no brainer, who wants to be attacked when they are low lvl (around 30-40) and trying to quest quitely... BUT, you dont lose exp or drop anything while you re white name so you can bare with it until you re strong enough to fight back.

now, the difference in community; on pvp servers, people usually work for better gear, weapons and equipment is way more important than it is on a pve server. molds are cheaper also, for reasons you might guess..

in pve servers when people see a white or a pink or red name they kind of run like hell and pvp is absolutly a joke. people go white name and hide in safezones to mount a guerilla attack and run back to sz again. they are probably all high lvls and trying to find people to pvp is hard. you might wanna hang out in pk spots buts this is also not as fun as in pvp servers cuz its all very coordinated, planned and what not..

in pvp servers, its a battle field and a pk spot everywhere. also people from every lvl go for pvp. you can be a lvl 35 and go out to pk ppl your own lvl. you can surprise and be surprised back. it s debatable if this is a pozitive thing or not but i think it is, cuz its not boring. competition keeps you going.

i started playing pvp very late even tho im in a pvp server. i wanted to get to high lvls before i started to go toe to toe with ppl. you can do something like this also. theres absolutly no loss to you if you get pk ed with a white name. but if you hit back, get a pink name and then lose, and die, there s a chance that you might drop something. you can always choose to not fight back until you feel like. and if you lvl up in a pvp server you ll have way more fun when you get to higher lvls. i think its worth it. a pve server lacks half the game, imho.

When you say "Change the setting" that means that means press the botton on the right top of interface, next to the map.

Or it means change server ?

It's an stupid question so Im 99 % sure that I can change server with my current character of dreamweaver but I want to be 100 % sure xd.

Last thing. Can you give me a tip to select another pvp server to start again

PD: Thx for the previous post

On a PvE server, PvP is completely optional. Most people choose to opt out because they're either sissy man-boys who adore their shiny new +5 Sky Demon's Pearl, women, or 24/7 catshoppers. PvP servers on the other hand, do not allow for such option and so you're thrown into the intense PvP action at level 30. From then on, it's survival of the fittest. Or richest. If you have lots of diamonds you will succeed.

There are currently 2 PvP servers available to flaunt your muscular physique and expert skill in the field of the class you choose: Lost City and Harshlands. As I am a PvE player, I cannot give you thorough advice on either server. But I can tell you this: Harshlands sounds a lot more manlier than Lost City.

I would personally disagree with Morell. As you can see in his name, he is from a pvp server, and ppl in those often think pvp is better than pve. But it isn’t the case.
It’s true that you could have more fun playing in a pvp server, but there are problems. First there are ppl who kill you at the same spot again and again. You can’t do anything; you can’t report them, you can’t kill them (if they’re way stronger than you) and you can waste hours getting killed and getting frustrated.
Also, it could take you months to be a high-lvl because of the first problem.
There are finally a lot of pkers waiting for you in front of large cities (especially Archosaur). You get out and you get killed. Even if you survive a first fight, another one may backstab and kill you.
My personal advice is that if you plan to restart on a pvp server, join a guild ASAP. You could ask Morell to add you to his guild or join his guild, so that if there’s a player constantly killing you for nothing you could get some help.

I personally tried a PvP server first(Lost City), got to level 53 and then quit playing that server. I was really getting tired of the newbie killing campers in many areas, which was making it incredibly annoying to try and level. The way I look at a PvE server is I get to choose whether or not to be in PK mode. The duel system is there, so I can still fight people without the risk of losing items. Sure PK servers force you into PK state at level 30 giving you a white name, but still with a white name you still have a chance to lose items, I believe it's a 1% chance, and it greatly increasing as your name gets closer and closer to red. I really don't see the point in a PvP server because most everyone PK'ing has their safety lock on, so this ruins the spoils of getting loot, which is the purpose of a PvP server. I would much rather stay in a PvE server, it just makes more sense to me. I tell you this so you don't make the same mistake I did by thinking a PvP server is better than it actually is. Only go to a PvP server if you plan to cashshop fully to show off.

I kinda like being on a pvp server.
Yes I get pk'd a lot, have little chance to fight back (I'm a cleric that can't afford to cash shop)
and have somehow managed to join what is probably the only non pk faction.

But the reason that I like it,
is because I can show someone how upset I am at them
for stealing my kills while I'm out grinding..

by changing settings i ment the shield icon below the mini map on the corner of the screen:) and, i never played in harshlands so i cant tell the difference exactly between them but i can tell this, no matter what the lvl 100 troll said, LC has higher ranking in cube. also, all the map in harshlands is dominated by 1 guild. that means dictatorship, lol. in lost city we still have some strong guilds warring for territories. i m very happy to be on lost city, i tried a couple different servers and decided this is the best.

    to walderblue and psymal

you are right. it really is frustrating in the lower lvls but its not true that it prevents you from lvling. but i would also like to point out that sneaking around the pkers, trying to get away from being killed or trying to kill others is THE game. i mean, thats the fun part... i know that if i strut through the west gate, all careless and blind, i m going to get dead very fast. but on a pve server, i was really bored, watching blue names pass by. no place was dangerous, nothing ever a bit challenging... i mean yeah bosses and mobs right, but pvp is a game in itself.

personally, psymal, i d say, its the game, you got to watch out where you re going. you dont run into mobs and QQ when they attack you.. cuz its the game. or not care so much if you get killed. its not like you lose anything.

and about guilds, the sad thing is, until you get to higher lvls the guild that will accept you wont be the kind of guilds that can protect you. you ll need higher lvls to call to your aid and until you re higher lvl yourself, its unlikely that you ll get into a guild with ppl high enough lvl to protect you. also you re welcome to join my guild if you go for lost city :D

    1. You can lose items when you die even with a white name, I have on several occasions.
    2. There are sins that like to stealth in common quest areas; as well as areas that give quests such as Heaven's Tear.
    3. I believe there is PK next to Orchid Temple as well as some of the higher level areas, even in PvE servers, or at least there is on Dreamweaver.

I stand by what I say PvE severs just make more sense, because you have the versatile choice.

dont get the joke? b:laugh its ok.

i think pk server is versatile rather than vice versa. its very very rare to drop something when white named, and it ll probably be something lame like a herb or some arrows or something you picked up. you wont ever drop your armor or anything like that.

anyway, i just dont think there s decent pvp play in pve servers. if you get to a high lvl in a pve server and decide you want to pvp, you ll regret lvling up in a pve server.. imho.
