Basically what Exe said: Level up the skills you feel comfortable using.

    However, DO NOT level UP:

    Soul of Vengeance
    Soul of Stunning
(*Edit: You can level up Soul of Retaliation...I forgot there's a damage reduction increase on leveling.)
Soul of Silence (*edit: You could level this....but it's not really worth it until you hit endgame.)

Leveling them up does absolutely nothing, the effect is based on your soulforce, and any kind of leveling you try to do with them should be when you hit around level 90 IMO.

To be honnest there's only one skill i can think that is not really important (until you PvP with mage class); Disturb Soul.

Some psychics don't upgrade their Vigors until later. I upgraded them both at early level but my suggestion to you is upgrade Empowered Vigor and let Diminished Vigor for later (PvP).

wait what? it increases the reflected/absorbed damage.
the silence time is also increased but yeah, 2->3 sec while for ret it goes from 5% to 50%..

Oh yeah, I forgot about the increased reduction for Retaliation. .-. [/facepalm]
Personally, SoS isn't worth the coin it takes to level it in the beginning...you're better off saving that money off for gear and pots and such.

Usually I jump at the chance to lvl up my aoe attacks and the starting skills that I have from the beginning. Ocassional buff lvling too such like the voo doos...I'm not a very high lvl so I wouldn't know really. b:surrender
