Wiz build Question

Just curious why I'm seeing so many threads that say put mostly into int, then very little in str and dex. Wouldn't it make more sense to possible do a 9:1 int vit ratio? What are reasons for not doing this? And what are reasons for putting into str and dex?

    Arcane armor requires a certain amount of strength to wear but not much.

    Like level 99 armor is 54 strength to wear I believe.

    The general consensus is you have your choice of 3:

    1. "Pure": All into magic with just minimum into strength to wear arcane armor
    2. "LA": All into magic with just minimum into strength and dex to wear light armor.
    3. "Vit": All into magic with just minimum into strength to wear arcane armor, PLUS putting 50 hp into vitality (maybe what? 7 magic: 2 vit: 1 str every 2 levels?).

    I like light armor to level a wizard up to 90 then switch to pure.

    Adroit and a few others like vitality.

    Most (i guess because it makes them feel "hard core", or maybe with cheap hypers they level so fast it doesn't matter) choose just to do pure build.
