2 Questions of Refinement---

Hey Thanks for reading, hoping to get answers to questions Ive been wondering for awhile now..As I may be refining my new legendary bow depending on outcome of answers =)

Question: 1)

If attempt is failed, does weapon LVL drop below its 'base' LVL? Or is the base lvl considered 0? For example I start with LVL 7- I succede making it LVL8--then fail twice..would it be LVL 7 or below??

Question: 2)

If Succesful and LVL raises- does Level requirement to use raise aswell?

    If your weapon is + 8 refine and you fail then it drops to zero refines. Unless you use a dragon orb of the lvl you want to reine to. As such your weapon is +7 you want +8 so buy a +8 orb or an ocean orb to get it from 7 to 8.

    I'd suggest that you read the PWPedia Refining Page.

    To answer your questions:
    Refinement level starts at 0. If a weapon is at any level besides 0, the level will be displayed after the name of the item, such as "Windcatcher +7", indicating that the weapon has a refinement level of 7.

    If you refine without any refinement aids, such as Dragon Orbs, Tisha Stones, Tienkang Stones or Chienkun Stones, and the refinement fails, the refinement level is dropped to 0. If you use Dragon Orbs of the respective level, your refinement will never fail. If you use Tisha Stones and fail, your refinement only drops by 1 level. If you use Chienkun Stones and fail, your refinement level does not drop.

    Refinement only adds certain stats to items, but does not affect the requirements.

    Hi thanks, that was swift!

    I thought i just need mirage celestone? ...Of course besides after I succede a couple refinements and the stakes are higher I could use those..I really need them initially?

    When I refine, I normally can get +3 with just mirages (depending, some days, it just don't happen >.<)

    After that, I would strongly suggest using refining aids of your choice

    Oh, and ignore Duke telling you where's best, that man is a liar (and a cheat! ask his wives!)

    Well, to get the cheapest refines, you should use:
    Mirages for +1-3
    Tienkangs for +4-5
    Tishas +6-7
    Dragon Orb Ocean +8-10

    Alright ^^ Just want I wanted to know very helpful thanks.. And does it raise lvl requirement too? or no??

    Chienkun stones glitched in my +8 neon purgatory and it went to 0. Nothing except a dragon orb of the lvl you wish to refine it to is guaranteed.

    its tisha for +6-8 for cheapest method on average, however when u do fail at +7 goin for 8, it does suck A LOT , usin ocean orb fto go to +8 not horrible idea if u wanan avoid bashin ur comp's monitor in(of course im stil la cheap *** and will +8 usin tisha)
    full 3r9 +11/12 (still using immac shards though) w/o CSing, leveled to 105 spaming pv, yes i have no life =D
