Rank 9 Or 5 Aps

So anyone done the math - What will be the best in pvp and pve? A max -int sin or full Rank 9 sin? And what will be best for sage or demon sin?

Please ignore price since both are expensive.

    assuming atleast 4.0 aps is possible with rank 9 then rank 9 would be better. the dmg diffrence between rank 8 and rank 9 is huge enought to make up for the lack of the extra hit.

    It's not.

    Sin rank9 items don't have any -interval on them. With full Rank9, the best you can get is -0.1 interval, which would put you at 1.43 aps.

    im not 100% sure on the max interval u can get as rank 9 but this still seems way off. did u account for other - int gear? and replacing the rank 9 dags with nirvy dags?

    actually now that i think about it ur still missing a ton of interval from lack of ashura. so i guess its not possible. oh well. rank 8 is cheaper anyway so this is a good thing. the rank 9 ring is still good to get tho.

    but if your not aiming for 5.0 (for w/e reason) then rank 9 is still pretty godly. you can get insane amounts of atk lvls with CoD and those atk lvl shards. and if warsoul is ever made cheaply availabe (that seems highly likely now) then you will have 100 atk lvls just sitting there wearing rank 9 and warsoul. so rank 9 does have its benefits, but if you are going 5.0 then its not for you. if you think about it that is pretty insane...

    Farming-wise, I think -int at 5.0 aps will stay above rank 9. Who would still want a rank 9 psy/wizzy for Nirv? :P

    Well, Rank 9 consists of Wrists, Boots, Leggings, Armor, Belt and Weapon. None of them have any -interval. If you equip all of them, the only -interval pieces that you have left are cape and tome, for -0.1.

    If you start replacing Rank 9 stuff for -interval, you end up with a Rank 8 Sin with Nirvana Daggers. And a Rank 9 ring.

    The same is true of the other armors:
    Barbs get -interval on their wrists and leggings, BMs don't
    Venomancers and Clerics get -channel on their wrists and leggings, Psychics and Wizards don't

    Well yes, using just the Rank 9 weapon would be good, as it has God of Frenzy and 30 attack levels.

    But then again, the only races that will now want Nirvana stuff are BMs, Psychics, Sins and Wizards. Though it would be ideal if this caused a trend of taking lower-APS characters with no Nirvana to farm for their Nirvana, especially Assassins since they NEED Nirvana daggers and leggings. Though most likely it'll just turn into "WHAT? NO R8 ARMOR! GO AWAY!"

    5.0 with nirv GoF -0.05 +max atk will probably be higher dmg than 4.0 with rank9 daggers, since both is GoF, the difference between g15 and g16 daggers is not enough to overcome the difference between 4.0 and 5.0

    that will be best in pve, however in pvp/tw 4.0 (2.86 unsparked) with rank9 daggers is plenty and since u wont get in more than 5 or 6 hits really, rank9 daggers is better

    Gotta say my friend, although not rank 9 but rank 8, seems to really like his R8 daggers over his nirvana daggers in pvp a lot (ofc he still uses nirvana for pvp) but to him he says R8 does a lot more damage...

    So by this logic:

    R8/9 : PVP
    Nirvana : PVE

    Just get both, but wait a little until the expansion. Rank9 might be massively cheap like rank8 turned out to be and Aps gear...just sell some gold you can get it easy.

    I want rank10! Everyone with +100att lvl and +0 def lvl, so then whoever has the better connection and faster clicking hands wins every time like it should be....o wait b:shutup

    There is nothing to farm for in this game anymore when u have it, right?
    What's there to farm with your "epic aps" when u buy rank9?
    Just buy r9 and go pk...untill u get bored of one-shoting people with headhunt xD

    Easy dude, all those ppl with "this game is dead" sign are just ragequitters who doesn't like this game anymore, and, instead of moving to another game and keep enjoying life, prefer to stay by this game's forums trying to QQ and look as ridiculous as they can, hoping that they can damage this game in some way to "take revenge for their dissapointment"... or something like that : / .

    The truth is that there are a lot of ppl active in game yet, and more new players still joining, some of my RL friends just joined a couple of days ago, for example. And the new expansion will be great!, and of course will lurem more players to the game. Me, I can't wait for it! :D

    lolz QFT, I actually don't know what's the point on spending mo much money on Rank 9 gears, U have almost nothing to do after that! I didn't even bought rep for R8, I bought enough for R7 only, I wanna make my way to R8 gears by farming for the rep in game. Yah, I know is a very very long way, but it's an enjoyable way, about the R9 gears, I don't believe I will want to get them someday, at least atm I don't feel like trying to get them. Also, R8 gears (at least for tideborns) looks a lot better than R9! :D
