If you want to justify HS > R8 bow then you're gonna have to get the Jaden Emperor's Defiance and get some tastey procs on it... of course you could end up like someone we know and get +19 magic on your second grade Nirvana weapon when it's a dex weapon.
If your Jaden bow looks like...
Physical Attack +100
Maximum Physical Attack +130
Atk. Level +20
and then yeah, it will kick the **** out of the R8 bow... but to get that kind of second grade nirvana bow you're looking at some 40m for the HS and 250 raptures + however many times you reforge for those procs and lets say 1m = $1 and raptures are still 2m each.
R8 = $72 and 1m to get the bow. $73 to get the R8 bow.
Jaiden = $40 + $500 to get the 250 raptures + $14 for each reforge.
Value for money, R8 bow FTW0 -

Have to inform you thats quite incorrect, it wont kick the **** out of R8..why? because the difference between +12 Jaden and +12 R8 is so tiny its not even worth mentioning. Its 100 base dmg on both low and high difference, sure the advance purge is great but not worth the trouble. The only reason I showed it as +12 is because Jaden has 1 grade higher then R8 which puts the refine bouns higher.
Jaden and regular HS has the great difference of...600 more attk points for 600mill (This is calc before R8 came, I have no clue what raptures goes for atm).
I highly doubt anyone would rather have +20 atk lvl, Physical Attack +100 and Maximum Physical Attack +130 insted of interval, dex and advanced purge since its tbh...better.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

For me it's not about the rank 8 availability that's so bad, but how much easier it became to get r9. While people still have to drop a lot of $$ to get r9 pieces, a set like r9 should never be available in the boutique because it's so game-breaking. Something like that should take forever and a day to farm. It shouldn't be available with one swipe of the card.0

You missed the point Man was making. It is not that he was comparing r8 bow to lunar bow, he was alluding to the fact that before rank sale people were cashshopping gear to pwn people in pvp.
Before r8, people had lunar bows from CSing and outperformed people who farmed TT bows and xbows. Nothing has changed. People with money always have an edge.0 -

And instead of that people could get r9. The unrefined weapon is superior to a r8 +12 one while the r9 armors have the same defenses as lunar-nirvana ones . Let's not forget that the set gives much more attack lvl than it gives def lvl .
So even in gears of the same overall value the defenses & hp just can't match the insane amount of dmg that one can have .
Whatever was left of pvp balance is now broken .
Even between 2 factions of similar strength a TW is gonna be a 1-2 shot fest between ranged classes & melee classes will be close to obsolete and should consider themselves lucky if they can get close ( sins will probably still do nicely since they got high spike dmg besides just aps , can avoid 1 shots and can get close with stealth ) .It's all about LoL,yo.0 -

Ummmmmmm...........you have no ide how wrong you are or he is if thats what he meant with it. R8 and Lunar weps has a huge difference and lets not forget, lunar insignia went for 60mill before the R8 patch and now you can get yourself an armor, leggings and wep thats better then TT99 and lunar for 10mill extra.

If your talking about CSing difference, I'd have to inform you thats a huge difference. I can honestly say 70$ is nothing compared to getting money for..

Uninstall this ****ing game idiot. Gold prices were at 650-700k with 50 silver packs. When rep came out it was at around 1.3mil for a bit. Stop speaking out of your ***.
Also, Rank 8 is so flippin' boring. I do 10k Crits on BM's/Barbs with Metal Skills unsparked with only EP. There's no fun in 2second 1v1's. It's why I prefer to use my Lunar bow over the Rank 8 for PK'ing. **** 2/3 second 1-2hit PvP now. It's so incredibly dull.0 -

Who said its R8 we're all whining about? You dont understand what its about now do you...This game gets easier and easier and the only people suffering are those who are working hard for their gears while new players can get it all with a creditcard.
Cash shopping has existed since the opening off PW, yes but if you havent been long enough to see the difference you shouldnt be acting like you know what your talking about. Gold used to be once 80-100k and guess what bontique was there but there wasnt any packs, R8s, orb sale every week, 2x drops, gem gamble and list goes on.

You're full of it. It went up to 900k the week before rep sale. And even you're not inclined to use your memory banks in a proper manner, it was 1m when 50 badges were $4.50. And there wasn't so much nerdrage at that price of badges.

Like Borsuc says if PW wanted to make rank 8 more attainable they should have also added some sort of comparable in game farming method. Like 1k rep one man armies. 2 more glaring problems imo than this rep and chip sale are... Jones blessings, and the glory medal things being in the CS and available with dq rewards.
Lets face it, some of the top players of each class ARE non Cash shoppers.
Dancing eyes = zero dollas
Harry Dresden = 20$
Ben the bm = very very little
Shoosha = ?
Russiee = given lunar bow multiple times
Untill a venomancer is better than dancing i'm going to have to say skill + knowledge + experience beats cash shoppers.
I am not banking on the expansion to fix things, but if they have gear upgrade from g15 nirvana it will be a good start. If they put in +5 defense gems +3 attack gems +20 vit stones... it will also go a ways in balancing imba r9 set bonus's, or making people pay for good shards now for their rank, then pay again later.
I am a barb so i don't get one shot or die quickly that often. light armor classes hmmm. They always haven't always been glass cannons?
Take lian lian, he had 4k hp with rank 8... yes i bet he tanked people in tw's! If people want to be overbalanced on the offensive side that is their choice to play glass cannon.
