The people that are complaining loudest now about noobs with credit cards are the ones that made a name for themselves being just that, ijs.

What many, many of you all are REALLY upset about is that you won't be able to have everyone and their mother so heavily outgeared any longer. Whether you charged your gear or got it from farming this video game 20 hours a day for 2 years, doesn't really matter.

Cry somemore behind your +11 nirvana. Its not like anyone that can charge $73 is going to charge another $1,000 to make it +11. You will still have them outgeared. The fact that the lessening of the gulf between your gear and theirs is causing so much dismay says far more about you than it does them, the devs, gms, or this game.

So in short the point of this post is pack your bags and get your friends emails/msn/yahoo/skype/whatever and hold on to them tightly, cuz when the game goes you may lose more than a few good friends.

So werent the cash shoppers bored already anyway? Afterall I get pked more times by a 95+ sin/archer/bm using +5 or higher refines while playing my lowbie wiz. The power difference has always been there. The gap just widened tahts all. Mabey its time developers upped the stats on our lowbie gear a bit so we can compete lol.

They just did. Stay in instance, get to 100, mow a few lawns and voila!

Getting end game-worthy gear sucks. TT99 gold is so expensive, if I had the mats I would sell them, not wear them. This is pretty good news for non-cash shop/moderate cash shop players.

You get 4 socket g12 gear (g14 weapon) for basically the cost of a tank of gas (ok, farm the first 5k-10k of rep if you have to, it isn't that hard).

The moral of the story is never to take this game seriously enough to dump cash in it and expect something out of it. You can spend and not care, and that's what I would suggest. I don't know if you remember this, but a BM quit a long time ago over chip price adjustments, and his message on forums sounded like this:

"I got Sky Demon's for 10m, then after maint the chip prices ****ed it up and now it's worth MUCH less. What is going on PWI? Do you respect my efforts at all? Well I'm through playing this game."

Some people understood him, some people laughed at him. At the time, I suggested that PWI announce their sales more ahead of time so their customers don't get screwed. Either way, this is what happened AGAIN, on a much greater scale. Think about the people that did pay money or farm or merchant to obtain their r8 before. Their efforts and investments just got pissed at. PWE clearly doesn't even respect their cash shoppers. Why invest in your "endgame gear" if the next week it could be worth half the price or even less?

This is true, I stuck with this philosophy after I saw that the value of items in this game can be manipulated freely and without regard to people's efforts. This is why I never go for the top gears or even spend a lot of time farming. Nevertheless, this move is messing with PWE's paying customers, which is just stupid for their business. Frankly, they have every right to be upset.

Been known since the dawn of packs that PWE doesnt give 2 fuucks about their paying customers. They figure they got a good enuff turn over rate with the game now that some other idiotic power player will drop 12,000 USD on the game to replace the one quitting.

Here's a point someone brought up that a lot of you are missing. There are people that play this game that don't have the financial means, even with Rank 8 being as cheap as it is now. Now EVERYONE with a credit line is going to be OP. Meanwhile everyone that gets their gear by running Nirvana and TT and selling the mats is pretty much screwed. And the people with a LOT of money will just go Rank 9 now with atk lvl50 and def lvl30.
I am a cash shopper myself. I have Rank 8 gear. But I finished getting mine last week after farming and buying rep for a year. I did so because, working a full time job and having a busy life, it would take me years to farm Nirvana gear to keep up with people I TW against. And today I log on and see everyone with the same gear I have, only better refined...
And then to top it off, several people I am friends with quit today for some of the above mentioned reasons. I don't think PWE really cares at all about the customer. They took away TW pay, they've nerfed TT mats to where they have to be CS'd, and have pretty much made the game to where the only way to be successful in PvP of any sort is to spend a lot of real money.

And here's the point you are missing. Step outside of yourself for 5 seconds.

The problem is, just like there were people that could buy rank 8 from day 1 and you had to buy it over a year, there were people that would have to buy it over 2 years. And some that couldn't buy it at all.

That didn't stop you from getting your rank 8 gear, did it?

The only thing that has changed now is the bar has been moved. Nevertheless, even now, there will be people that can buy rank 8 from day 1, people that will have to buy it over a year, and people that will have to buy it over 2 years, and some that won't be able to buy it at all.

In that regard, NOTHING HAS CHANGED except who is on which side of which line.

It's exactly what I said in my last post above: just cuz you ain't the only one on the block with the flat screen anymore, doesn't mean the market for televisions is going to fail. Life will go on.

Have to agree with Wizzeled here. He's an annoying **** at times, but he won't lie to ya or paint pretty pictures over the truth.

As for EatWithSpoons, he was a decent CM most of the time, but he did do some things that weren't entirely honest and I think some of that is why he is gone now. We need more people that have the kind of attitude he did working for us.
