    This is basically a kick to all old players, and a welcome to the new players. Any player who has been level 100 for at least 3 months is more than likely pissed off at this. I'm sure there are plenty more who are mad, but that criteria involves the people who have been farming for their gear for a while only to see it obtained easily now.

    Any new player who has been trying to catch up with the old players would love this patch. It is a chance for them to catch up in gear at a very low cost compared to before.

    Maybe those new players will cash shop more since they are new and haven't spent as much, or maybe those old players would have been better to keep since they have been here for a while always cash shopping a little more. We'll see if their decision was right or not.b:chuckle

    R8 is the new TT/Lunar, R9 is the new Nirvana. Most of the lvl9X toons can't even farm their TT99 gear since the recent changes. Lunar? It's nowhere near as good as r8. Nirvana... well you're right R8 isn't op over Nirvana, a R8 weapon is as good as a Nirvana weapon and the armor is worse. But it takes a lot of time to get.

    I posted this in another thread but i'll post it here too:

    whoever's asking for a rollback is a idiot plain and simple. They wont' and CAn'T do a roll back now... too many people have charged zen and bought rank 9 and whatever else.... What, you think they'll refund everyone's CC's? Not to mention those of us (including me) that dont' use bank accounts and used prepaid cards. Cause if they do a rollback without doing THAT not only will MORE quit, i'd expect to see some class action lawsuits for the 100 bucks or more they'll literally steal from everyone if they rollback without refunding.

    Not to mention all the freakign money they just made.... ya right... a rollback... /laugh

    Edit: I myself... could care less about this but then again this is my highest toon.... I haven't bought in-game gold since it went over 400k. I just spent 10 bucks and bought rank 6 lmao... now to find Badges..... me wants beamhoof at 90 XD


    FYI i DO feel bad for all the people that spents thousands (of RL money lmao) on their gear only to see if 1-up'ed by this for literally chump change (to those with a job nowadays anyway). And ya i feel even worse for those that famred like hell in-game to get lunar or nirvana gear after a long time jsut to get slapped by this.

    nothing that's free, although my RL friend loves Leage of LEgends..... This was the only free one that did't suck i could find. Other then that I'm still playing FFXI.

    First and probably last post on this forum.
    I could go and cash shop r9 for my main. But for us PW is a family activity, and cash shopping r9 for all would be too expensive.

    But I thought about it. Imagined a full set of r9 gear, imagined myself showing it off in West Arch, and then... Wait, what would i do then? I don't need TT or Nirvana for gear, since I would already have r9, none of those instances are worth it for coin runs anymore, and I don't care for PvP. So it would be a true end-game for me - credits rolling and nothing left to do.

    But I can have all this right now without charging zen. End-game and credit roll and no reason to log in anymore.

    Thank PWI for almost 2 years of fun and several thousand dollars worth of charms and dragon orbs on credit cards.


    And as for friends as a reason to stay with PW... Well, most of them are quitting, and most of those that stay only keep PW as a chat service. A laggy, memory-hogging chat service with awful fonts and cute smileys.

    Oh, and someone showed me this other game - kind of old, but with neat graphics, cool quests, lots of stuff to do, and a new expansion coming out. And all you really have to pay for is a box of software. And even if you get all possible extras that i found for it, it would still cost less for 2 years of play than r8 costs with today's sale. I wish I found it before someone showed me PW...

    to be perfectly honest.... there is none. all f2p games are the same. for it to actually be better then PWI you would have to be in console game territory.

    if you seriously want/think there is a f2p MMO that isnt heavily CSed based and is a GOOD game then you are in fantasy land. your best bet is to hop on board a newly made f2p game since they wont immediately be heavily CSed based at first. but trust me as the months/years go buy it will slowly become more and more CS dependant.

    you spend almost 2 years working for something (that isnt available in boutique) you finally get it, you are one of the few who does- then a month later pwi makes it available to buy in boutique... and not just buy it lol they make it 90% cheaper xD

    2 years is a long time... you really think that in that 2 year time frame the item u are trying to get wont become obsolete? you kidding me? you have to take that kind of stuff into consideration. that is the risk u take in games like these. u cant expect w/e was rare and valuable 2 years ago to remain rare and valuable.

    the moment u got the item u worked hard for is ur sense of accomplishment. but basically what im saying is dont expect that sense of accomplishment to last long in a MMO of any kind. it doesnt work that way broski. i promise u that all MMOs, both f2p and p2p are just like PWI in that sense. they will ALWAYS have updates/sales and those updates/sales will make old items obsolete.

    People bought their Rank 8 three years ago for less than 400$ and it worked out fine.

    Of course, here the QQ comes from other things but still.

    thats what usually happens. like i said **** like this always happens in MMOs. they made a rare/valuable item more accessible. thats just how MMOs flow.

    this was not the only thing... this is like the tip of the iceberg and a mess of a whole bunch of other things just finally coming to a climax
