Where are the fashion sets from 2008? I loved that set, but having now switched servers, I can't get it anymore unless PWI re-releases it. Why do we get last year's set back, and not 08's? It was so cute!

Sorry if this has been posted before - I DID look, but I couldn't find anything. I guess I'm the only fashion nut who misses it...

I find this topic a bit funny since I was thinking the exact same thing this year and last year.
Maybe since this is the 1st of the month there is a chance this year. I dont get why GMs have to make items server exclusive, like the valentine pendent.

I fear every Christmas in that one day they may bring it back. ><; Its one of the last things in this game that really is incredibly rare.

I can say that it does NOT look good with big breasted characters. Which the model in that image is. Plus, it looks better with a 'sexy' or pretty face rather than a 'cute' one. Its a refined sort of fashion and it has to be worn properly. lol.

Plus, exchanging the top for a pure red Corsair's top... Makes it perfect. b:dirty

That's what the selfish or "elitist" people say. ijs. The female Christmas set from '08 is actually not that rare. It's just hard to find people who are willing to sell it or you just have to find the right people who will.

You know what's rare? The male Christmas set.

whats so odd about that outfit, and one reason there isnt a lot of them around, is that we were on world chat by GMs, told they would last only a week and disappear, but if we NPC sold them, we would get $5K for each piece. so everyone i knew, including my son and i, sold ours....b:cry they changed their minds and we lost neat outfits.

What is this I don't even? The one I got for free disappeared. I didn't get the chance to sell it. I bought the permanent one in the cash shop. So... I don't understand what you are trying to say, but it doesn't sound to me like you really missed out on anything?

Yeah, well, it may sound it, but oh well. I'm not one of those selfish people. And yes, I see a couple people around who have them in my server, but I've seen very very few. As for the male set. I have that as well. b:chuckle Forgive me as this is the ONLY thing I've ever had that few others have. I've never had anything rare or worth having, other than these fashion sets. So allow me my pride in having actually bought both sets while they were actually in the shop two Christmases ago.

Anyway, as for things being rare, everyone gets angry when things get put into the cash shop because they aren't 'rare' anymore. Whether its permanent or not. At least I'd be sad, rather than angry. Same would be sure to happen with this, apart from people like me who don't just own it, but adore it, especially because it came around shortly after PWI even opened, so few people were able to afford it and/or were willing to offer up the real money to buy it not knowing if it would be worth it at that point. So yes, both sets ARE considered rare. Because you can't get them anymore. And if someone were to sell theirs it would probably end up being at least around 20mil per piece or so because of that.

20mil per piece? That's a horrendous price for a piece of fashion. If the top, bottom, boots costed 60m, I would rather buy a lunar wand or something else.

Everyone who has it gets angry, not the people who don't have it. People will QQ over things that will make things "common" but it also allows them to hoard more. No item is going to last rare in PWI just like the mounts are now in the cash shop, the Pillar Pet Egg is obtainable. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2008 fashion be released in some sort of event.

I was highly disappointed to see that the 2008 fashion wasn't in the boutique. I certainly would have paid for it.

I've had an offer of 6m for the whole set which I thought was decent enough just didn't want to sell it. I think it looks a lot better on cute characters rather than sexy actually - it's not a refined outfit at all it's more of a "cute" thing with the mini and the pompoms imo. It goes with a lot of pure red fashion.

One thing that's stupid about it is that the skirt has more of a orange tint to it than the rest of the pieces. I like the new christmas fashion a lot better.

Btw, the reason it's rare is because not many bought it when it originally came out because it wasn't pretty enough and they made due with the free temporary ones that everyone got.

Well heck, I'd buy multiples of the outfit for my other characters if I could find someone willing to sell for a lower price. But I just plain can't find anyone else who has one.

And you're right as far as the cute characters, I suppose, if you're using the whole outfit. I for one us it with the Corsair's top, which is a very fancy kind of top, so it goes well with my character who has a very sexy kind of face. To me it looks like a sexy Mrs. Claus.

'Pretty enough' is of course an opinion. If I hadn't had it on my veno, no, I probably wouldn't like it as much as I do. But she made the outfit for me. Me made me adore it. And to be honest, any other characters I've seen so far who have worn it really didn't look very good in it. No offense to anyone. Just like the image that was posted here. That character looked pretty bad in it.. b:surrender In my opinion. Of course.

And just to make the opinion thing even more prevalent, my thought is that both last year's Yule fashion and this year's Christmas fashion look absolutely horrendous. b:shutup And I'm no fashionista at all. I just happen to love my own fashion. But the stuff they've been dropping in cash shop recently has been terrible... including this new set. Again, in MY opinion. Feel free to have your own. b:victory If you like it, I hope you can get it and get it in a nice color.

I think they didn't release it this year (like last year) because there weren't many people who bought it. A whole new set would more profitable for them.

I prefer the 2008 Christmas set over this year's but that's just my preference. I do like, however, that the new one is dyeable.

As for the rarity of this item, I've never felt so special about having it because it was just something I loved and bought but I like the fact that it shows for how long the player has been playing the game. It's something newer players don't have and won't have (unless the set is released again or they find a seller in game).

I was really disappointed that the pieces don't match in colour and you are not able to dye them b:surrender but mostly that the colours don't match. So you can't even wear it in red...the least they could do is make the whole thing one uniform colour.

b:surrender Sad that this happened. But at least I'm able to get sets for my other characters. I'll take advantage of that, but its true that it was sort of a 'you've been here a long time' symbol, more than simply, 'I have something rare.' Like was said.
