It probably isn't that bad for small factions. They could make an alliance with a strong one, then have the ally farm other bases for them.
What advantage is there to the strong allied faction in doing this? Big, strong factions are typically all about winning TW lands and allying with a small faction that they don't own as a subsidiary (e.g., Enelysion and EnelJr) seems to be a charitable notion that seems very unlikely with this game.

I'd very much like to know more about the 40vs40 war for resources too... if it's a requirement then my faciton likely won't bother. If it's a nice to have but you can avoid a Rank-9 Steam-Roll if you choose, then I'd be willing to spend for the base unit (I take it upgrades require winning resource wars... maybe we will call them RWs b:chuckle).

Factions of Perfect World will finally be able to create their own bases. The bases can be built upon which will provide the faction special shops where players can create rare items such as gears and potions. Of course, resources for building these shops are scarce and factions will have to battle it out in a 40 vs 40 faction war to determine control of these resources.

My wild-**** guess from the text above... If you want "special shops" you'll need to fight for resources... my expectation is that the top land-owning factions on each server will dominate the RWs as they do the TWs and that they will be the only ones able to get these "special shops"--only the Rally Point (a base unit) would be available to everyone that's got a level-3 guild and all the "special shops," that I highlighted in yellow below, are going to be difficult to get unless you're already a leading faction in TW.

    Rally Point
    Where you'll find Faction-centric quests.

    Faction Ward
This wing specializes in Faction-specific Fashion and Skill Books.

    Armory
From here faction members can obtain special rare weapons.

    Alchemy Lab
The center for special potions and buffs.

    War Room
Offers various other high EXP-giving quests.

That's just it...nothing on that sad excuse for a preview site tells us...anything useful. It's all a bunch of generic bullcrap that doesn't really get into any detail. Half the site isn't even finished (like dungeons saying coming soon). They did a pathetic job advertising a new expansion that's suppose to be coming out in a few weeks.

I hope they will change it b:sad It's a really nice feature, small family-knit factions should be able to get a guildbase too without having to pay an arm and a leg...
its all farmable and free. It just takes effort to do it.
The players need to know you cant be expecting more for less.

Its like going to a well off restaurant with 2 pple. Your seated on a normal table while the party next door has the whole party room. Its unreasonable to complain to be let in to a same size party room just because you want it for a cheaper price, as well as asking the owners of the place to rent the big party room for the low cost of a 2 person table.

I'm not sure that's a good analogy Deciptipoo... It's more like, if you went to school at Harvard or MIT (Big TW factions) then you can get the big party room; if you're just a blue-collar worker (tiny family facitons) then you might be better off dining elsewhere.

In your example, everyone can get a job and gets paid in the same currency which could be used to save up for that big party room. In the PWI situation, acquiring the coin, chips, and subs isn't so much an issue as you can just farm coin to buy those, but acquiring 500 Warsong Emblems will depend on a secondary market as tiny family factions likely cannot kill a Warsong boss to get the Emblems and the high demand will make it unlikely they can afford to buy them from catshops. That's not a complaint, it's just the way it is... once the big TW factions have all they want, then the secondary market for Emblems will see more supply but still high prices, as more factions get enough people to the level, gearing, and skill to complete Warsong the demand for secondary market may gradually reduce and prices will slowly come down.

Again, that's just the way it is... big TW factions will enjoy the benefits long before the majority can enjoy the benefits. But to complete Warsong you have to go to Harvard (so to speak! b:chuckle).
