I remember back in the day gold was only 300-400k a pop.
now its 600k. Basically, discount sales from the boutique automatically increases the prices of gold (e.g. packs, 1 star dragon orb 50% off). A good example would be right now, just before and after thanksgiving, 10+ dragon orbs are 50 gold and 1 stars are 50% off. A flip-flop effect would be the absence of packs from the botique that plunders down the gold price significantly. The more demand for gold , the more the price that exist increases exponentially. Predictabilty for gold prices going up is related to occasions such as thanksgiving, holloween, christmas etc.. So take advantage of that.

60,000,000c devided by 400,000g = 150 gold
Selling GOLD:
Now just before Thanksgiving that spans a few days after it, gold becomes 600k because of the aforementioned boutique bonanza.
I have 150 gold
150g x 600,000c = 90,000,000 coins (30M profit)
It takes a loooooot of patience to profit, many months actually.
I brought forth this topic since I have 60M coins and gold buying price is around 550-600k right now.
so 60M devided by 600k = 100gold (not really a smart decision right now). But after Thanksgiving, it as fact that gold price will decrease because of the absense of the bonanza's. And I haven't seen gold this high, which means its the right time to sell gold right now. A right time to buy gold would be the recession of gold and boutique.

One more example is the +10 orb right now is only 50 gold, back then it was 75 gold.
If I buy gold with my 60M coins i get 100 gold. I can get 2 of +10 orbs. Once it deminishes, I can sell it roughly for 45-50M so thats a 90-100M coin back with 30-40M profit. And it will take after thanksgiving to for me to sell it in that price range. That means Im gona be broke and will wait until somebody buy it on my catshop, who knows how long that will take?

So basically to profit, you need to be saving a lot of coins in-game and buy gold when you're absolutely sure that there is totally **** items in the boutique. Well, they put three insane things in the Boutique at the same time:
1. Tiger Packs at 50% (which means that selling them at 390k is profitable until ~845k gold)
2. Ocean Orbs at 33% off
3. 1* Dragon Orbs at 50% off (which means selling them at 100k is profitable until ~720k gold)
And then there's of course the fact that the sales only just started, which always spikes gold prices.
Oh, and add the 2x and we'll see it stabilize at like 800k for the rest of the week. That's my guess, at least.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

well i still think its natural inflation.
first year low prices to attract players.
2nd year playerbase reached a certain lvl. now bring some difference between the highlvls. => packs were born => increased gold price. still natural inflation.
3rd year main playerbase is at 100 => main income is higher than in 2nd year. => packs stay in boutique => higher goldprice. still natural inflation
killing tw money, brings more balance since op tw guilds r not in such a huge advantage in getting too much free ingame money.
lowering tw prices same result since there is a highlvl playerbase.
seriously game would be lame if u could still get gold at 100 k once ur a lvl 100 if tw guild or not, grind 1 hour at lvl 100 and u get 800 k (at least i get that much(not on this char tho))

Gold is over 850k on HT right now. I had never sold any gold in the more than a year of playing this game, but I sold some yesterday for 600,200 b:cry and tonight for 850k b:laugh
I'm enjoying my new bulbfish and 4soc Wings of Cloudcharger. I was gonna get a cube neck or a warsong belt but no ne was selling them and I saw that cape for cheap.
For someone that had NEVER had more than 18mil on them at one time (and only once) I rather enjoy how the economy just shat itself. For now at least. Dragon orbs are still way too high to actually use coins on them, and I'm not buying any gold in a VERY long time.
My seeker/mystic will get an awesome cape at lv45 tho b:thanks

Looks like a lot of people agree about this whole "packs= end of game" thing... at least for people that dont cash shop and are under lvl 100 and can't crack out on nirvana. I remember when i first started this game, i liked it a lot, it was a fun, challenging, pass-the-time kinda game. now even at lvl 95 i have to choose between lvling or making coin, both taking weeks to get anywhere because I can't spend my life on the computer. I've stopped playing this game, been playing another mmo for about a week and i am much happier to see it hasnt been infected with nerds that spend $100s on a game. Yet...b:shutupb:surrender
Would like to point out the main point: If you are below level 100 and DO NOT buy gold with cash, it is more stressful to try to play this game than it's worth. Go play a pay-to-play.

Well that's pretty much how I used to feel back when I actually cared, but in the end, we all know PW never really gives a **** and will continue to churn out insane sales to increase gold prices/encourage more zen charges, which is of course beneficial for PW and that's what really matters for them.
PW will never admit their constant "sales" are a factor, so they put the blame on whatever else they can.

"Bank and Tank" baby....this is how these games are developed. Better to leave while you're still ahead.
In the short term, the game will generate revenue; however, in the long run, they will have shortage of new players - meaning less potential gross revenue over time. Definitely bad PR.

I sold about 50% of my assets last night for about 150 mil to buy 267 gold for 566k each....anticipated that it will reach 700k. But now its past the 800k mark! b:victoryb:laugh lol - 60+ mil profit in 15 min.0

I've already decided that an Earthguard flyer will be the last thing I ever use real $ on in this game, and only if i like playing the new classes. While I did enjoy the "black friday hysteria" over gold, and I'm happy with what I managed to get for relatively little investment, I'm seriously hating the way things have been going.
Unlike most, I'm not talking about since day one of packs QQing, I'm talking about all my friends that have quit in just the last 3 months due to the "roll a sin or bm or have nothing to do at endgame" BS that permeates the game anymore.
I personally still realize that its just a damn game, and if it goes to hell its entirely because of those people whose names you see in Yellow or Red text all day every day on your servers. The ones that people would make free players buy gold just to get an extension of their Black list.
Dragon points are the single greatest addition to this game. No matter what else happens, i'm very thankful that they were implemented and can't wait to see what they might add in the future.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
