    PWE's april fools 2009 joke.

    They made an announcement that all types of aerogear were not race restricted anymore, accompanied with pictures of barbs with wings, elves on flying swords etc.

    The funny part was that people actually believed it and bought a flying mount they couldn't use b:chuckle

    Last chance to get anniversary packs!

    Anniversary packs leaving the boutique tonight! Get them before they're gone!

    .. and all the subsequent other red GM messages similar to that, when there was the end of an anni pack boutique appearance, followed by another appearance a week or two later, followed by more red messages -- rinse, and repeat.

    This one was THE best prank. They included full blown pics of the huge catshops on the boards and I admit I fell for it and was thinking of how awful the town of Arch will look with them.

    Once I realized it was a prank I giggled for awhile.l Good one PW!

    I learned that a capitol I was looked just like a lowercase L so i made a lvl 1 archer and switched it when nobody was in the faction. When they all came online I told them the devs added in a patch that if you got PKed u had a .1% chance to get dropped back to lvl 1. everyone in my faction started freaking out and telling everyone to get out of pk mode.

    PWI will continue - in one way or the other. I'm just glad I found a balanced server now that I enjoy - naming is illegal, but PM's are welcome.

    Only reason I log in still is also just to say hi to friends.

    when I was an active player, I used to make tons of pranks that sometimes my guildies would not take me seriously. However, like any prank you need to make it right so you dont get people mad.

    These are some of them:

    a) FB59. On this FB, you tell the tabber that the squad will not help him with the boss "lightmaker" as the boss is too dificult. Many tabbers dont know that lightmaker is not a boss actually, its just a NPC and many noobies will complain that you are bad since you will not help him. Until a kind squad member (never me), tells him the truth.

    b) Guild chat. Everytime you log in, check if there are new members on your guild and send them the following message: "Hi, I'm a level 90 Bm. Can I join your guild. Pleaseb:surrender?"

    Usually the noob will not check if you are already a guild member, he will not ask either how did you find him/her ect (this has even worked with the noob inside an FB and sometimes even after I said Hi on guild chat). Then the noob will ask on guild chat that he/she found a high level player that wants to join the guild.

    You can imagine all guildies LOL plus the ones that have previously fallen on that joke too.

    Then somebody says: " if it is Granrey, we dont want him"

    Then I would say: "Granrey scores againb:victory. LOL"

    c) FB19. Well, you go to a noobie town (flying as high as you can). Then you say that you are looking for a squad to do your FB19 and that you want to make sure that you get all your mobs killed, ect. Then when they ask you to join squad, you join and they see you are level 90. LOL

    yeah, I know a bit cruel but good. LOL

    D) Automated messages. You can set up auto repplies on your settings when somebody sends you a PM. The prank here is to go to ARCHO and say on common chat : "I'm giving all my coins away, send me PM if interested". Prior to that, you have an automated message saying this: "sorry, if you want my coins, go and grind like a I do"

    LOL

    Well, these were some of them but I dont remember them all, since I dont play anymore LOL.

    The guild stuff reminded me that twice, once with different factions, I mailed every single person 1 coin. The responses were pretty funny, ranging from PM's, to guild chat about it, to people mailing me back other stuff, usually something like a klunky or some pet food or something. Not really much of a prank but was fun anyways.

    LOL that news even reached our faction. Even I was like WTF?!?!

    Ah yes, guild chat pranks.

    Back when there was a code to change your message color to squad-green or faction-blue (and those stupid tags weren't there either) I'd sometimes use it to jump a line in the chatbox, where I could then imitate anybody.

    Or when I used the same code to flawlessly bypass the wordfilter...

    Hilarity ensued b:chuckle


    I also remember somebody doing the same thing on WC as a system message that said something like: Your genie has died of hunger. Lucky point(s) reset.
