I have a pants with two citrine gems and one garnet gem. I want to replace that garnet gem with a citrine gem I bought. The problem is that I do not know how. I looked at a tailor and saw an option to imbue a gem. But when I was using it, I had to put the armor and the gem in their slots. But the thing is that I am unsure if that will replace the garnet gem or what it will do. What will it do? Do I need to remove all the gems and buy put the gems in all over again?

Thank you b:thanks

You can only imbue a shard into an empty socket. If you want to replace a shard, you must purify the item first... which will remove and destroy all shards in the item. There is no way to remove just the garnet gem so you can imbue the new citrine gem.

Oh. Ok, so I have to buy two more citrine gems to replace the ones already there. Then I can just use the imbue option at the tailor three times and it will place the citrine gems in the next available empty socket? Purifying will not remove the refines or the extra added effects such as "Vitality +6"?

purifying only removes gems/shards, nothing else. but it removes EVERY gem currently imbued, all at once.
