Brace yourselves.

Soo, here's the sitch. I play a level 92 veno on heavens tear blablabah.
and forever since i've had her, she hasn't been available on the "Edit Your Avatar" option (hence the nickname or whatever avatar this is posted as)

I have ticketed it three times! and nothings changed -i appreciate that PWI has important things to do though-

I have deleted all my other chars on that account so only the veno is there, so now instead of all my other chars avatars being available (cept the veno -_-) there is just nothing there!..what a palava (i have since made a char, leveled it to 10 in order to get some zen b:shocked)

Alsoo, now that this dragon point malarky has been introduced..my veno isnt even on that either!, all my other chars were..cept the veno, then i deleted them leaving my veno as my only char and she still isnt on the list AND it wont let me select the server for the DP LOL!

also, i know that with untamed you have to select what type it is before you get the avatar, but theres literally nothing there to select..

Also another thing i forgot to mention was that i cant seem to get a jones blessing for connecting to facebook. it says i have no chars! when i do, have that one level 92 veno..that doesn't seem to exist to pw.

the avatar thing isn't a recent problem, i made my veno a year or so ago and have never hadan avatar available for her, now these new things like DP and the blessing have made it increasingly annoying..

hmm what else, cant charge zen when my veno is the only char on that account so i had to make a lvl 10 just to be able to charge..

new ****- cant get the exp merit badge on my veno cus apparently she doesn't exist to pw, can only get it on my other char.



annddd, proof i'm not imagining things.. b:chuckle



Note: this didn't "just happened recently" type of thing its not a refresh your page and clear your cache thing, its like that on all computers and browers and has been forever.

edit: maybe i phrased it wrong, but IN GAME my veno is very much there, playable, level able and the such, its the stuff you do on the website (avatar, sending blessing, zen, dragon points,) where she doesnt exist.

Sorry to hear... this is PWI's Engineering team at it's finest.

All you can really do is submit a ticket, wait for a response, then promptly reply to them.

Nobody on the forums is actually capable of fixing this. It has to be handled with a ticket.

yeahhh i know, i get all that, thanks i just want people to be aware that it happens to some (another person i know has had the same problem)

ill try another ticket sometime, but only so many can be sent before you go "siggghhhh" *deflate*.

hmm i don't think that's it XD, i'm playing the veno whilst i type this..
in game she is very much there, its the stuff on the website (avatar, dragon points, merit badge, zen, jones blessing) where she is non existant. ive been playing for a year and she wasn't on the site for an avatar which wasnt a big deal but now that the website offers more functions, its become a bit of an inconvenience.

anywho, i wouldn't be stupid enough to delete a char then wonder where its gone, after all you do have a weeks restore time.

She said she deleted her other chars, not the veno. And showed a screenshot of the veno and cleric being in her character selection screen in-game. Plus if you click for the Core Connect profile you can she is indeed playing from that veno... so the game acknowledges it at least there.

Ah PWI. Will there be no end to your glitches. Sorry to hear about this mess, hope they get back to you soon. They got back to me pretty quick on a couple tickets.

One quick question :

Did you at any point since you started that veno wanted to delete her ?

Because the char will go into meditation for a week before definite removal, sooooo....

it 'could' be that the server didn't remove it (because you cancelled before that week was over), but as far as the connection to the website(s) goes, it DOES think you removed it permanently.

It's just a thought.

Second : Is the veno your FIRST char on that account or not ?

Because it 'could' be possible that the server system thinks you deleted a char but made the wrong connection and considers your veno to be deleted.

Also, just a thought.

In any database, when you remove a record, it is deleted from that db, but if the "index" is wrong, then the record might still be there, only the index (or link) to it is wrong.

My impression is that your char is still in the database of the game, but the index for it (or the number reffering to it if you will) has been deleted for some reason.
When the website only uses the index, since it doesn't need to know what gear you have or other info, then it cannot see any index for that account, but the record still exists.

The only way to remedy that is to reindex the database, which is why i think it's nearly impossible to do unless they do a maintenance on ALL accounts on that server.

IF the game uses some standard database for info on all chars, then it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish, however, if they use a different system for keeping "records", then it would be a totally other matter.

The only solution is to create another char on that account to do all your webby exchange, like zen and dq points. Do NOT forget : you have a shared stash, and the items ARE interchangable trough that. (well, most are).

Nope i never tried to delete my veno, and she isnt my first char, though she is my main.

i accept that it might never be fixable but its frustrating not to know why!

btw extremely good point about the account stash and dragon point thing, i forgot you could pass things through that like dragon point rewards, that couldnt be traded (i use it for bound stuff.) - makes it a little bit less of an inconvenience thank-you very much! b:thanks

For a character named "Thinkalot" you sure don't Readalot.

Core Connect and the profile system here have had many bugs, some which are still unresolved.

His issue is that his character isn't registering with the forum site.

The first time I checked the DP page all my chars were listed.
When I went back later I could only select a server.
There were no characters to choose from.
But all my DP's were there.

My venomancer also don't have avatar icon after i check it out . . b:chuckle
And i guess it already like that for a long time just like what op say, but i am not really care about it. b:surrender (since i don't use her as avatar anyway)

She was my 2nd character and the 1st is archer, deleted the archer long ago when i decide try playing other class because the character slot is full. The venomancer avatar still there before . . maybe gone after i do many delete and create character b:infuriated

Or maybe has something to do with venomancer avatar option, that ask you too become rabbit, bat, deer, or fox venomancer. If not wrong once you select the animal type, you can't change it again. Maybe the venomancer character in game change type to other animal (with scroll) and create error to forum avatar after some forum changes ?

Here's a thought... delete the char you made to buy zen. Submit a new ticket, complaining that because of this problem, you can't buy zen.

haha! i tried that one before i made the char to buy zen with, and did get a faster response (as expected XP) but i just got the auto - refresh page, switch browser, clear cache stuff.

so i bought an account stash yesterday to atleast get the blessing and transfer dp things...then the very next day they put it on sale LOL..yay for timing -_-
