EndGame Gear for Non-Cash Shoppers

Aight, I'm reaching that point where i need to start getting ready for endgame. I'm talking about a sage/pure tank(min str and dex for armour rest into vit).
It is the general consensus that Misty Forest Rings are pretty much endgame for pure tank because we need the accuracy. That is just about all anyone can agree on.
I was thinking for a cape I would go for Elite Leather.
I have a Demon Slaughter Belt as of now, and I can't really seem to find a better one that I don't need to sell an arm to get.
I got a Sky Demon's Pearl Necklace atm, but i'm not really sure what my options are for Necklaces
Aqua Viciousness is the helm i'm using now. Most pple tell me i should go for Warsoul of Earth. That seems like a good choice.
Now for the other armour, I have full HH90 out fitted with Immac Citrines. I'll probably try to get 2-3 pieces of HH99 for the bonus, but i'm not too sure which pieces I should get.
As for my endgame weapon. I'm going for Ashura of Purgatory at lvl 100 then I'll prolly nv it when i can.

Any input would be helpful. And NO, i will not restat and go for claws/dex. So don't even ask.

OK...as a non cash shopper as myself, here's what i can tell you...


RING: 2Misties are good, but if you can get the lunar ones is better


CAPE: Either Elite Leader Cape or Tauran Chief, event cape are good too (i dunno the prices tho)


BELT: Either Demon Slaughter or 3rd Map belt from valley of the scarred (which is free)


NECKLACE: Demon Pearl is good, or GOLD TT90 which is the one im aiming for


HELM: Warsoul is good, im using Aqua too atm but im aiming for is GOLD TT90


ARMOR: Full TT90 is good, i havent bother to look 99 yet but im looking for mold95 boots Scribe's Shoes


WEAPON: If you plan to go Ashura then Nirv i wont suggest any other cuz that's best endgame atm, maybe have some spare weapon like PGGA or GX

idk, if you plan on playing after achieving TT90, go for TT99.

I personally have all TT99 gears, OHT gold quest belt, TT90 gold necklace. You can get everything without CSing, just pay with time instead of money. b:shocked

For the ring you should consider the sky cover. If you have a good faction to help with the PQ to gather the needed crystals it is a piece of gear any barb would be proud to have.

Fuzzy suggest taking a look at the solemnlight --> solar flash armour path. OP says TT90 is already in use so that will be handy to decomp for any 99 pieces they decide on, but we all know how 3-2, 3-3 is these days. Farming for 99 gold mats will be a challenge. (Not at all that Fuzzy suggest it not totally possible) People say that Lunar is expensive to open, however, as a barb in TT90, you should have no problem soloing some of the smaller TT's to sell the mats. Use the profit from that and invest it in Lunar runs. A good 9x party can zen that whole instance in no time, and the boss's at the end are more or less a joke compared to TT.

if u can somehow farm OHT u can get some very good stats from OHt gear 2 make it better like idk 7+vit and 150 hp or 7+7+7 vit all it takes is paitent and knew where 2 farm the mats u need or look around for cash shopper selling them.
i myself prefer OHt becose the limitation of vit u get from tt or gold gear is just 2 low at least for me. i myself am very high dex barb but want 2 have high hp and the regular stats u get from tt i wont get very high hp i just knew wish is why i am making OHT even if its frustating on getting a lot of **** i will one day get the stast i want then i will we so happy.
OHT u cant buy with money so u see its also random so u kinda feel unique in this all int world we have right now.

try OHT i knew a barb that got like 32 vit in his OHT axes i mean wow b:shocked

why havent u told about OHT i knew when i started making my OHT a month ago i never ever saw a singel person wearing them now wow i get so much congratz cool gear etc.
so far i made 2 gold OHT pieces one was uterly **** ather wasent what i wanted but i saving it.
and even a 3 star heavy plate would we nice if u get stats like 7+6+7 vit dont u think.
its possible and what i aim for so at least its a goal i like its look so much i dont even wear fashion.

anyways its a possibility have fun finding ur own gear wish suits u b:pleased

I might try to get some lunar. I've never heard of the ring Sky Cover or Solemnlight. I'll have to look into both of them.
The Solemnlight seems like it would be a good alternative to TT99, so i might get some of both. I would like TT99 for the bonus i get if i get multiple pieces. I'm not too sure what pieces of which I should go for.
I never really thought about OHT. Probably because, honestly, i haven't even opened up the map yet. Haven't really seen much of a point in it, and most tell me its not worth the trouble.

If you would like a bit more advice, Fuzzy strongly suggest getting your OHT maps up to date asap. You are going to run into trouble to get your celestial demon/sage cultivation if you don't have them. b:surrender

The best gear in this game other than nirvana is OHT. It is a long road to open all the maps to obtain this gear, but once you do you'll be extremely proud of what you have.

If you don't have much time or dedication then:

Molds/TT90 Green

Baalbak - Dreamweaver

the gear was all farmed, except i bought the mold for cuisses of brahma pre-90, both it and the cape came out 4 sockets when i made em.. refines were afforded with about $40 worth of d.orbs during Sept. (my b.day present to myself). Its a demon build because thats what i personally chose to do, but I do have more standing HP (slightly) than the sage barbs in my faction.

I know its not "epic" or anything like the 20k hp standing up barb builds.. but with that gear, a charm, and crab meats I was solo tanking an opposing squad + 2 towers during TW, long after my squad mates had died. then again.. none of the opposing faction was cash shoppers either.

Nothing wrong with that set at all Baalbak, but PLEASE do Fuzzy a favour. Go grab 20 or so mirages and refine your neck and belt. Inside 20 or 30 mirages you should be able to get at least a few levels on them.

sadly i havent done OHT maps at all yet but hope 2 do so in the near future 2 get my sage skill is demon right now so i need 2 switch path at lv100 b:cry.
sadly o dont care so much for getting 100 for all this INT crazyness i hope expension makes me wana reach or we 100 and give me hope barbs non INT as wantedb:sad.

Honestly this is probably your best choice if you lack time. Keep in mind though you don't have to have the best of the best to have fun and enjoy your time with friends. All If you farm gear now the expansion will just give you another reason to keep farming and having more fun.

SteelStar... You are both Wise and Helpful... I guess I will work on my endgame gear still as is.... Then the new expansion will just keep me from getting bored... Lunar cape looks nice, almost the same as OHT. Could be much more fun to obtain to. I know I've been in Lunar Glade now for the last 2 weeks trying to make the gold necklace. Its very hard and very time consuming, but well worth the reward considering most people only know of the Lunar from the packs.

If you set your mind to the LG cape I wish you luck and hope to see your results.

Belt and Rings I bought.

tbh the belt was under 1 mil
Rings combined was probably 500k

+3 refines and with G8s is not a hard thing to do
+4/5 Gxes are the only pricy equips (you can always go for Brim Axes)
The Sky Demon's Pearl can be replaced for a Swindler's/HA TT99
The rings can be replaced for Misty Rings > Lunar Rings
The belt isnt a big deal, a lot of drops can boost ur stats until you get a TT99 HA belt
The helm should be replaced for a Warsoul later on
A lvl 2 str-vit/vit tome should be enough
And i just added true form and BKI as ur sage skills

You can pass your last lvls like this until you want to get more expensive stuff.. if you want to
but idk.. its just my opinion..

Why so many barbs use pdef ornaments here?
The only good things with sky demon pearl is the +5% hp bonus + it's cheap.

But +5% bonus make no big difference before your base hp gets really high, since you don't gain any extra hp
from hp buff and trueform from that +5% stat.

I'd rather use Equine Talisman than sky demon pearl until i could afford a better mdef necklace.
Just compare this build with sky demon pearl vs. Equine Talisman
Full buffed and with sage buff/trueform:

17236hp vs. 16894hp
84% pdef vs 83% pdef
53% mdef vs 56% mdef
3% reduce p.harm vs. 4% reduce p.harm

The extra mdef really helps more in pvp and even in pve than that ~300 extra hp does. And pdef is basically the same.

As necklace I'd use one of these:

I would consider getting two of these ☆Band from Heaven's Jail . I've never found myself in need of accuracy when tanking, while the extra dmg helped (and it really is a considerable boost) a lot to keep aggro.

Now regarding cloak and ornaments, let me show you another point of view. I'm not saying this is entirely correct, I myself don't find it versatile enough, but this surely is an idea if you are set on tanking and tanking only:

When tanking bosses you will mostly take physical damage (assuming that you don't have lags and can pounce away most of magical hits), so you can focus on increasing your pdef. A pretty good and relatively cheap pdef set may look like this:

☆Guard of Thundershock

☆Cape of Elite Leather

To boost your pdef even further you could try getting this helmet ☆Lunar Helm

On the flipside, if you happen to PvP vs casters, they will eat you alive Also i you do a lot of FC/Delta/zhen Lunar runs, you will find that this item build lacks mdef.
