    Indeed we would need more details about what kind of pet you're looking for.

    However I can say this much; All the good tank pets are from the level range 18-20 (with the lvl 80 Armoured Bear being an exception).
    All the good DPS pets come from the level range of 2-20.
    All the good luring pets come from the level range of 8-90 (if ranged pets) and lvl 60 Kowlin, lvl 20 Tabby Plumpdrop, lvl20 Cuddly Pup and any high level wolf (trained or not).
    All-round pets come from a variety of levels but most of them are lower than level 40.

    Tank : lvl 59 there is the Shikou Valorian , a golem from FB 59 earth path ( u need to do the run unwined if u want one)

    DD : Scorpion , Dark Wanderer , Dark Wolfkin ( or sth like that ) , all those are below lvl 20.

    luring , lvl 41-42 there is the Eldergoth Marksman , and 45 the guardian wolf or 49 the Lunar Lupin that can handle the luring role quite well , especially the marksman (range pet).

    All around : well depends , wolfs tend to be ok , frog ( rare pet is nice all around pet).
    i dont know any specific pets , apart from my Molten Ant Soldier , which needs to be rehatched now ( pet bag problems). He had average to medium - high attack and defences , i used to do my quests with him.

    Well my two cents worth for a good- all round pet is the Seamonster from the isle of the Sea Elves.....Its pretty tought and deals a good blow.....and he looks neatb:pleased....however he start out at 18 level.....
