Mounts, we all love them, but which one is your favorite? When I recall when I started playing on DW the first month it came out... The mounts, meh. But, if your a mount hoarder like me. You prob know what I'm talking about. So.... Which one is your favorite?

- Why do you love your mount? What does it have that the others don't?
- What kind of mounts do you think will come out in the Genesis expansion?

To be honest... My favorite would have to be my Nightfall horse Hes just so evil... but cute. I have a total of 4 mounts currently.
My Golden mane lion, Tiger, Nightfall, Anni mount.
Also... I've had a Neinbeast, Panther, Deer, Kirin, Battle Cat, Hell hound, Purple Horse, Nightfall, Goldenmane Lion, Tiger, Anni mount... 11 WTF! b:shocked

I don't have any land mounts because they wouldn't get much use, so... I'll stick with flyers lol. I love my cleric's dark lord wings. My veno still has her crimson flametalon... I want a waning cloud but not enough to waste the coins when it's the same speed as what I have.
If I ever got a land mount, it would probably be a Ninetails or a panda

Elephant mount is best mount ever. No contest.

Vibba - Sanctuary

On my main (demon veno), I recently sold my Hell hound because I run with almost 12 m/s demon summer sprint and demon fox form (works every time I transfer so I can keep it up pretty well just by spamming the skill). Anyways, I'm not a fan of mounts, I found my Hell hound next to a banker in Archo right after the anni mounts came out this year. I would never pay money for one, lol. My maxed skymanta was only 2mil too, I won it on auction. b:chuckle I'm a cheap girl, I don't care about looks as long as it goes fast enough.

Even though I love my Goldmane, I will stick with flyers for the next reasons:

Flyer pros:
- If you fly high enough you can skip obstacles, mobs and get ANYWHERE.
- Able to speed up the flyer at any time if you're on a rush.
- Can ninja people from the sky.

Flyer cons:
- Slower than mounts.
- Costs $ to get stones to refill the nitro.
- Rubberband is not fun =.=;


Mounts pros:
- Gets you faster to X place.

Mounts cons:
- You can't afk while riding somewhere.
- You need to avoid monsters.
- Chances of unsummoning the mount in case of atked.
- You can run into a boss and kill yourself.
- Can't get to high places.
- Costs $ to maintain them feeded (tomes = $ as well.)


Might be skipping something, but that's pretty much it.

Mounts also look cooler to go afk on somewhere in the game and just show off especially if you have a rare or expensive one b:laugh

(above is referring to the land ones, things you fly on are called AEROGEAR, not Air Mounts)

Well, I have my two anniversary mounts (one for each year, lol), and the free flying mount. I prefer flying, most of the time --- I can just autopath to the target, set the height to 78, and alt-tab the game away. Doesn't need water either, and when I level my fly I can float on the mount while the fly is attacking stuff on the ground --- which was quite relaxing the last two levels, as I grinded monsters that didn't even have a ranged attack, so I didn't have to worry about aggro at all. Quite the contrary, actually --- getting heal aggro from a nearby monster meant it was going for me instead of hitting on my poor little fly.

If I'm going someplace I fly.

But I enjoy pretending that my mount is a tank,
running over all the little cat shops in W. Arch.

I love my Bad Panda, and I have a special place in my for my Hurricane Sika Reindeer, my very first land mount. One of my favorite flyers is Israfel, and I also like Neon Purgatory, Silk Perfume, whatever those cool looking cleric wings from sunshine packs are, and my very own Boreas Skylight.

I'm a sucker for cool flyers.

I barely use my land mounts. The newer air mounts can easily outpace the land mounts, especially if you have the white genie or psy buff.

Omg...I've had so many mounts - it's ridiculous LOL I love both my land and air mounts and use them both. Currently and for the longest time now, my land/fly mounts have been:

- Veno's Celestial Tiger/Waning Cloud
- Cleric's Ninetail/Dark Lord Wings
- Psychic's Bad Panda/Midnight Fascination Wings
- Archer's Celestial Tiger/Iridescence Wings
- Wiz's Silver Mane/Astral Melody
- Sin's Midnight/Spectral Haze(waiting to get Midnight Fascination/Frozen Sparkle)

I would have to go with flyers here...mainly cuz I have the Boreas Skylight, lol. When you have the fastest flyer in-game for your race and can go afk without dying, it's pretty nice. ^^

I prefer both land and flying mounts; as with many things in PWI, mount-types highly depend on situation as well. At the moment I have a Nightfall and a maxed Watcher of Skies set; my only request is that PWI create a horse mount like Nightfall/Midnight that has BLUE flames instead of green/red, respectively.

Regarding AFKing while flying, you can do that with any flying mount (not necessary to have the fastest one) to avoid mobs while in auto-fly mode; if you set path high in the sky, doesnt matter which flying mount, fastest or slowest you have - all are safe.b:chuckle

I suspect he was referring to flying over land, in terms of being able to go AFK, since you can't go AFK really while on a land mount, because you're basically guaranteed to get stuck and/or die.

When you have to get somewhere across the map, flying is the best. You can also fight while flying. I tend to mostly use my land mounts when I'm in town and sometimes to run between Plume and Tusk Town.I love the additional speed of my land mount (the 2009 Anniversary Wolf) but i can't fight from it's back and terrain can become a factor.

I like both though the ability to autopath with a flying mount makes them the easiest option

Sin - Anni mount / starter wings
BM - Anni mount / Nakir's
wizzy - none / starter sword

I had a panther when i first started playing and a couple midnights from the first halloween event. I had various wings on my cleric before the seraphim come out but otehrwise i have not really changed mounts or flyers much

D'aww i'm partial to neither one T_T

I'm one of the players that just likes the change every once in a while. even though as a veno my running speed is already pretty fast it suuuuuucks in arch's X.x zomg... my dinky lap top does NOT like arch at all.
But when i fly or ride a mount it's not that horrible for some reason. ( or the look of my flyer/mount just distracts me from the lag ? XD idk )

On my Veno I have the Battlecat and after long enough saving i finally have my dream flyer, The Fallen roc. <3333333
On my cleric i have maxed wings of deadalus which were passed down from my husband as well as the goldmane lion
On my archer i have the basic wings of deadalus and no mount cause she's just an alt i play for fun...

My very first land mount was the panther and as much as i liked it's look it just didn't cut it to the battlecat's awesomesauce covered look XD so i HAD to have it.
I also owned a blazing tempest for a while but i just COULD NOT stand the sound of his clippity cloppy horse feet sound when he's a fricking tiger !

Before the fallen roc i used to have the two headed dragon and till this day is After the the Fallen roc one of the prettiest Untamed mounts... in my opinion...
cause, yeah.. there's just something about an oversized beetle that doesn't do it for me and not to mention the all colourfull fish =X ... as FISH ? to ride on, on dry land nah... me dun like

Sadly I only had a 10.0m/s elephant and I felt it a bit slow after the anni mount. Will buy a maxed one.

i prefer using my phoenix embrace wings to using ground mounts because you can afk travel with them and it doesnt need chi stones because unless im in a rush 2 get somewhere im usualy happy going at +3 flying speed,the ground mounts that i have had are, crimson leaper, quick ancestral kirin x2, grand lobster, sika reindeer,polaris snow cub, windsprint panther and the only one that i have left is my pwi anniversary mount because i dont see the point of paying millions of coins for something that goes the same speed as something i got for freeb:pleasedb:bye

Wtf, just checked Ecatomb to see what the "fallen roc" looks like. It's definitely that thing from Avatar.

As for me, I have a Tempest mount and a maxed Lailahs Heart Aerogear. I definitely use my fly a lot more, and they are MUCH more useful. Mounts are for show really. So I vote Aero
