Does ST reduce xp?

Just got told that I shouldn't be STing bosses in FCC because it apparently reduces xp by 10%, or 120% if someone's hypering the boss.

I could, maybe, somehow see that being the case if ST was in effect as the mob/boss died (why on earth would anyone use ST for anything except the opening shot on a boss is beyond me though, but still). That's going by the assumption that the xp is related to the HP of a mob (since having ST on would mean lower max hp). Never bothered to check on normal mobs to be honest.

But in a nutshell, does using ST on a boss (as an opening shot), reduce the amount of xp it gives?

ST only reduces the xp of the boss or mob if it is active when it dies, from what I understand.. I could very well be wrong though.

And even on 12x hypers, the reduction in exp will only be 10%.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

It's true. As long as it's not active when the boss dies, you're fine.

So basically...just don't use it when you have a FC squad that kills all the bosses in like five seconds.

If the ST effect takes off HP your squad does not get credit for that damage and the XP is reduced.

This is mitigated somewhat by the boss healing over the course of the battle allowing you to do actual damage greater than if there was no regeneration.

No, no, even if the actual debuff wears off naturally after 30 seconds, the xp is still reduced, because technically, no one in the squad "dealt" that 16% of damage (or 10% or 20% depending who debuffs the hp). Hence the QQ xD

Oh, and since this is the archer forums and you guys and gals are omniscient... b:laugh

When it comes to pulling either the body or soul of Holeen at the end of FCC, does it matter which one is pulled? Some squads insist that the bigger one gives more xp, while the smaller one gives more sp.

Pwdatabase on the other hand lists them both as being the exact same mobs, when it comes to stats/xp/sp.

Kinda figured it has as much truth to it as the that moronic rumor that killing the shrooms in rebirth barehanded gives more coin. Makes me cringe xD

Yes it's true, this also applies to all other skills that decreases max hp - like bloodvow and one of the genie skills for example. Other similar proc effects such as that found on the Deicide claws can also decrease the exp. It's funny how I once ran a FCC run with a bunch of idiot none interval stacked bms complaining about it, but they themselves were using Deicide claws.

    @Ninnuam

Pulling either of the Holeen's does not make any difference. Not sure how these rumours started floating around.

At first even I thought the larger one hit harder, but the next FC run confirmed it makes no difference whatsoever.

But I guess pulling both of them would :P
