iv been told it raises your crit rate but the description says it raises your rage.

can some one explain what it does

and if it increases your crit rate does it add on to your already crit rate or does it just increase it to how much it says

    It increases your critrate by the amount in the skill description.

    Um, you can still pull off sparking with it, pretty easily. Spark+ IH+Mire -> Power Dash. At 3.33 aps sparked, you can spark indefinitely.

    (Chill of the Deep) then Double Spark -- Inner Harmony -- Power Dash = 24k Critical Hit @ level 80 Skill Spammer Build (Dex 7 Str 2 Vit 1 per level)
    Just for fun, Relentless Courage is fun to add the the mix. Almost Guarantees another double spark

    Increase you attack level and recover your lost aps? I don't see why you find this so facepalm-worthy...

    Because you don't recover the lost APS? Relentless Courage does NOT give you +50% attack speed the last time I checked.

    Assumptions:
    Relentless Courage gives +20% attack speed
    Chill of the Deep gives -100% attack speed
    Chill of the Deep gives +30% damage via attack levels

    DPS= 1.3*(DPH*APS/(2-0.2))
    DPS=1.3*(DPH*(APS/1.8))
    DPS=1.3*(DPH*APS)/1.8
    DPS= 1.3/1.8*(DPH*APS)
    DPS= ~0.72*DPH*APS

    So, you actually get 72% of your normal DPS. And that's assuming you somehow get +20% on Relentless Courage, which is going to be quite tough.

    So yeah, using Chill of the Deep and Relentless Courage is a massive waste of time. Unless your Chill of the Deep is of extremely low level, in which case it's still a waste of time because of Relentless Courage's short duration and complete unspammability. You'd get more damage out of using Tangling Mire or EP.

    and you missed the part about him preferring skill-spammer style. "APS" means nothing to someone who's doing everything they can to hit the hardest they can with every cast of a skill.
    i'm pro all classes, and against none in particular..
    but the age old QQ about venos is just that. OLD.
    QQ'd about a nix lately? check out this thread n tell me who's "OP" lol..

    The superiority of an APS sin over a DPH sin is bloodpaint and chi gain for perma-sparkingb:bye

    Well then he's even more of an idiot, because he advocated using Relentless Courage with CoD on a skill-spammer sin.

    His point might've been to recover chi, but with your APS reduced to crapsack due to CoD, you're not gonna recover chi with normal attacks, but with TS, RDS, IH or Master Li's.

    And yes, "Master Li's" sounds like a name for a caf

    i think he meant to say Frenzy instead of Relentless courage, cuz he was talking about increasing attack levels.

    At the OP-

    Rage dmg is the amount you do when you crit. Notice you rage normally says 200% and when you crit you hit for twice your normal amount. If you increase your rage dmg when you crit you'd do more dmg. Use the skill Wolf Emblem and you'll see it increase rage. This is different from crit rate.

    However, the symbol that appears when you use this is the same symbol for "increased crit rate" and in fact says just that, but isn't reflected in your character screen. I have a feeling the skill description "Increases Rage damage" was messed up when they translated it over because it looks like it increases crit rate, not rage damage.
