What armor do i have to use for my wizzard?

Hi all,

I'm kind of new, playing with wizzard but i want to become some powerful wizzard :) Anyway i readed a topic about wizzard's armor that Arcane Armor gives you Damage and the Light Armor gives you Crit + HP. The question is what kind of armor to use when i don't want to do any TW or PK.

    You may read the other topics about this question in this forum (there are a lot). It is mostly recommended to be arcane but I know LA wizards who do fine (especially in TW). I prefer Arcane for my wiz but was LA until lvl 89.

    I loved light armor, but for you? Arcane.

    You don't need the extra defense/hit points now that you should have enough knock back skills (will of the phoenix, force of will) to be able to do everything pve without light armor. IMO, 90% of the benefit light armor gives is for levels 1-60, and you are already there.

    not much purpose in going light armor in a pve server TBH. youll survive fine with AA and by maximizing damage we wizards can... hm.... do our JOBS!

    Go Arcane.. everyone will tell you to use LA till 9x.. dont listen to those noobs. b:bye I used arcane from lvl1. and almost at lvl100 now.. no probs ever just learn how to play and ull be fine b:pleasedb:cute

    AA full mag wiz seems to be the best build for wizzies nowadays.
    If it wasnt for the Rb gamma fever way back then, we prob wouldnt never have seen many LA wizs. Squads would prefer a LA wiz over a AA for these and that made many change to LA due to high profit from RB gamma -good old times, selling tome frags for 400k+ and buying a hp charm for 600k that would last me 4 to 6 runs.
    Today,people get to lvl 100 w/o doing a single RB run. And at lvl 80 u can already have some epic gear like warsong badge, no or cloudcharger wings. So,no point going La now. people dont even do Gammas anymore cause these are non profitable with charms so expensive and FCC giving more exp

    Wear arcane. Put all your stat points into Magic, except the little strength you need for the next set of arcane armor. With high magic, you should be able to kill most things your level before they can get close enough to smack you.

    most, if not all of my friends(this includes every class) statted a little bit of vit until 9x, and I even still have 50 at level 100 on my cleric. it certainly saved me a good amount of times when I had low refines.

    the answer to your question is obvious when you stop and think about this question:

    What is the purpose of being a wizard?

    The answer? To kill *It* before *It* can get to you.
    Using LA implies that you're giving up damage, allowing It to get to you more easily, and then trying to tank it.

    At 6X, you should be fine with AA. Between WoP, distance shrink, and gush, we are probabally the most epic kiting class there is.
