Can one only have one of these, or can have both?

Ha ha this is funny talking to you here when we were in-game a while ago xD
You can have both and use both one after the other since they are considered two separate skills but people usually choose to buy only one of them because both do the exact same thing.

They're not quite the same. The effects are, but the targets and range differ. Mage form is single target with a 25 meter range. Fox form is close range aoe. So the choice comes down to playstyle.

I've known a couple people to pick fox form simply because it's pretty. b:avoid

    Melee - fox skill
    everybody else - mage

personally even tho fox form vers is pretty it is indeed more powerfully used in close range fights.

mage vers is for standback lawls when barb/BM runs away after getting hit.

    I would grab both. >:3

close range followed by long range

or long range followed by close range if they don't get the point. xD

Last week, I got the Human form one but you can definitely grab both if you'd like and have the spare money to do so. b:victory

I really just chose that one for now because I'm most of the time in Human form and only go fox form to Amp or Purge.

Might grab the Fox form one later though, still didn't decide.

What I'd say though is go with whichever form you use most of the time. Although, the AoE of the fox form one is pretty decent, you can still get it later if you stay more in Human form. Also, the Human form one is pretty cool for bosses and speeds it up especially if armor breaks. b:dirty

I'm gonna get the human one one of these days. I like using the fox one right after amping, but the human one is good to have for bosses that can't be amped so you don't waste mana switching back and forth.

I do find though (with human verson) that myraid does take alot of mana when i'm doing something like a frost or something (because of the 20 sec cooldown/spamming it), and i only have like 6k mp XD. But its a cool skill, I might not get the fox version until later.

I generally prefer the fox form version because it's a wonderful AOE, good for any AOE instance. Can't go wrong with both, though, especially the single target version if you rarely switch to fox.

Didn't mean to imply you didn't know this, just thought I'd expland on it for the benefit of forum goers who haven't hit that mark yet.

Out of curiosity, Silest, which did you decide on?

I personally picked the fox-form one even though I rarely use fox (only on bosses and such for debuff and amp)
fox is aoe so it's better in a lot of circumstances imo. Just that you have to be carefull that you don't use it on per example the boss in FCC in exp room with the other mob running around it xD

I think the fox form one is indeed the most popular but I can see the same amount advantages and disadvantages.

    Myriad Rainbow
-Can be spammed more often since you don't have to switch to fox form and lose time
    -It won't aggro unwanted mobs
-It's not very useful during AoE grinding, FCC, RB etc.

    Myriad Rainbow (Fox Form)
-You can use it while waiting for the Fox Form cooldown so you won't waste time
-It is useful during AoE grinding, FCC, RB
    -Cannot be used anywhere/anytime

Well, that according to my point of view. Mana doesn't count here because the one can be spammed and burn your mana and the latter does it anyway since Fox Form will make you lose 20% (assuming you start with full MP) and you also burn extra mana to switch forms. I chose the latter because I go for AoE more often than not he he. I love AoEs

Just wanted to note that there is ONE place in Frost you don't want to use Fox Rainbow, and that's at the big room boss. b:chuckle There, Human rainbow is a good replacement. It's also good if you're spam healing in human.

Both, I got both and use both.

Mainly use mage one for when I don't want to tigger other mobs but also nice to combine them on bosses etc when one's in cooldown.

I don't really have trouble with switching in and out fox, since the cooldown is almost the same as amp :) so by the time I can use it again I can also amp again ^^

It is true though that both have their own advantages :)

I think she ws referring to the boss, not the mobs.
