Earthguard Seeker

A dominant warrior who deftly manipulates a colossal blade; his sword skills are a sight to behold.

Seekers have a long, vicious history with Wraithkind, so much so that their abilities have been honed not for self-improvement, but out of necessity. The burden of their race's survival falls squarely on their broad shoulders, for these are the warriors who occupy the brutal front lines in battle.

Though disciplined and methodical on the battlefield, a restless power-mongering nature often compels these earthen champions away from wherever they currently are, and into the world of the unknown.

Abilities:

*names and descriptions are currently in development, and may change before official release

Weapon Upgrade: Blade Engravings

By tapping into the wrath of nature, Seekers can infuse their weapons with elements as a short-term but powerful boost.

Attack Stances

By changing combat stances, Seekers can open up powerful special moves with varying attack effects.

Vicious Afflictions

Seekers can cast afflictions on enemies, causing various forms of nature-based damage.

Ranged Attack: Blade Blastwave

By swinging their massive claymores in sync with the natural vibrations of the Earth, Seekers can send forth mighty kinetic waves to knock down and incapacitate their adversaries.

Hope you're as excited about the new expansion as we are, and make sure to continue checking our site for all official PWI: Genesis updates!

Sounds pretty darn cool, but not really my style. I prefer mages (and sins! :P )

Do you know is the class gonna be just a DD or possibly a tanker class?

It sounds cool until you realise this is another 5aps nublet class.

Then it's as boring as everything else in this game has ended up being since 99% of the PWI population decided you had to be 5aps if you wanted to get into their farming squads.

Tell the devs "good job" on yet another 5aps class that's going to bring them in bucket loads of money. It's not like the devs actually play the game, after all.

As expected, the Seeker is based off the Warrior in Forsaken World

This is like the trademark of PW... Make new games > take features from said games > implement them to PW with a few touches

Its like their new games are nothing but experiments to contribute to PW updates ^^

Good question, I guess if you cant make new chars on your old account, youll maybe be less motivated to, if you got account stash.
Would hate it having to roll new class on second account and mailing myself ****...

Ok, you guys are jumping to conclusions about the Seeker automatically being able to be some 5 aps guy. I think they won't be able to get 5aps and here's simple reason why.

They use a claymore, witch is a big ,long, and heavy two-handed sword. That should be enough to tell you that they won't be able to get 5aps

Comparing this weapon with the other melee weapons is another reason

~ Axes and Hammers have a slow attack speed because they are large, heavy but powerful weapons and will most likely kill you in one hit in real life.

~ Pole-arms and Clubs are the second slowest melee weapon in the game is because it would take a bit in real life for someone to hit a target with it but its a little faster than the Axe or hammers because its a little lighter than the axes.

~ Sword are faster because they are lighter than the 2 previous weapons but it won't one-shot someone in real life because it little weaker that the other 2 but its still deadly.

~ Daggers and Claws/Fists are the lightest weapons to use in real life, so they will be easy to handle, but they won't do as much damage because of their low damage output. So, they rely more on speed with multiple quick weaker hitting attacks than just swinging a Giant claymore around until it one-hits someone in real life.

So comparing the weapons in real life terms and just by what weapons they are using can tell you if they are going to get 5aps or not. In this case I most likely would think they won't be able to get 5aps just because of how hard it would be to do 5aps with such a large and heavy sword than just using daggers or fists.

They could be 5att/sec, any class can, just a matter of how much you need to buy. I wouldn't be surprised to see them be the next sins. Jumping to conclusions, no just stating the truth.

Just because their class weapon is a claymore (or whatever), doesn't mean they can't use claws/fists. Enter: sin.

You can't really say that unless you know what build they have.

Like they might need more str than you need for Axe BM's and might be unable to get 5aps but we all just have to wait and see when they come out. b:pleased

When are we going to get more info on Mystics? b:question

I'm just wondering, since the spotlight is all on the seekers atm so I was wondering when we are going to get more info on Mystics.

Also what mount are they going to use, and please don't tell me its just not another cheap copy of Elf wings. >_>

lol, you're missing the point. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would give up the ability to wield an up-to-date claymore to use fists/claws if the skill effects were good enough. They'd just need an outdated weapon to cast a buff or status altering attack or w/e and then switch back to fists to reap the benefits. When people say the seeker will be the new 5aps class, they don't mean they'll reach 5aps with the weapon they're intended to use.

    -Heavy armor: check.
    -Big clunky sword: check.
    -Short-Medium range attacks: check.
    -Elemental spike damage: check.

    Yep, melee mage (aka Paladin).

Sounds fun, I may have to give it a try, although I'm more inclined to try a mystic out at the moment.
