Hello everyone. I am a veteran PW player since before PWI existed. I used to play on PW:MY EN but quit many years ago. Since now I have free time I would like to play again, except without the 400ms lag.

I made this thread to ask a few things:

- Which is the European server (or with most europeans)
- With the included above, which is the newest server (unpopulated)
- Is there a new server opening that I should wait upon soon?

First point: No clue

Second point: Arch and Raging Tide are the two newest servers. I don't know of the relative population of either, but from how the forum postings are... I'd say Arch is the one with the lower population.

Third one: Nope. No announcements or hints of any new server coming out any time soon.

Typhyse - Sanctuary

To my knowledge, all are USA servers.

There is an expansion coming late this year or early next year. No new server has been announced to come with it, but we all know they will include one.

Hmmm, no european servers you say. Well I also play Dungeons and Dragons Online that is American and I have no problem with lag because they have strong backbones. Is the same case with PWI ? Any european care to discuss lag issues ?

Couldn't tell ya for sure. I know PWI has a good share of european players and it works very nicely for them with minimal lag, but I also don't what type of computers their running.

I'm running on a piece of **** computer with only memory space, and graphics upgraded and I stay between 248 adn 1500 ms. (1500 being laggy when I first log in and begin to play, or am In west arch and made contact with the ground. 248 for basically everywhere else.)

I play from the Netherlands here. Got a connection that gives me no lag at all on just about any other game.

In PWI it's 600-700ms on average.

600-700ms ? That can't be right. Thats 7 seconds of lag. I had 400ms on PW MY and thats just what I want to escape from. I am considering playing on Harshlands since it's PvP (what I'm used to) and on East. I'll download and test anyway but I hope it's not how you say it is, I want my game lagless or I'll be ganked like a..

Kupuntu - Sanctuary

700ms is 0.7 seconds. I play from Finland, EU and my ping is 450ms-700ms normally.

ms = milliseconds, so 700 ms = 0,7 sec. It's not that bad though (at least in my opinion), only in dungeons it can get slightly annoying. 9 out of 10 times when I'm lagging, the entire squad is lagging.

I don't have much experience with PK but I'm pretty sure that most of your opponents would be lagging just as bad as you are b:chuckle

1) Well, for one, there are no european servers within PWI, PWI is the North American verison so = North American servers, though. The eastcoast servers are the servers with the most europeans.

Archosaur:
- Player Vs Environment
- West Coast
- Ping 94 ms
- Population: Medium

Harshlands:
- Player Vs Player
- East Coast
- Ping 47ms
- Population: Medium

Lost City:
- Player Vs Player
- West Coast
- Ping 78ms
- Population: Medium

Sanctuary:
- Player Vs Environment
- West Coast
- Ping 78ms
- Population: High

Heaven's Tear:
- Player Vs Environment
- West Coast
- Ping 78ms
- Population: High

Raging Tide:
- Player Vs Environment
- East Coast
- Ping 46ms
- Population: Medium

Well, you tell me. And, to answer your question, you would most likely wanna go for Dreamweaver or Harshlands if you live in europe. A LOT of europeans.

3) Well, still in suggestion. I cannot find the exact post Frankie said, but I remember reading him say "Still in suggestion, but "plume" has a nice ring to it doesn't it?" So... Guessing its still a suggestion, but every time we had an expansion, we got new servers. I mean, not every penny that goes to the cash shop is spent on salary, its also spent on servers and new equipment

Eoria - Harshlands

Oi. We have a guild on Harshlands with mostly former PW MY players and quite a few from Europe.

I'll tell you right now that the lag on PWI is nowhere near what the lag on PW MY was. I ping the log-in server here for like 15-40ms while the one for MY, I'd ping it for like 300-400ms. Ping in-game here is 150-350ms while on MY...**** it, who knows. A hell of a lot higher.
