Has anyone had good experiences with an ISP for broadband connection? Comcast is absolute garbage. Every time there's a storm the internet goes out. OnDemand breaks very often. There are constantly artifacts on TV.

I've heard AT&T is no better. How is U-Verse? Is there another alternative?

How well your ISP works has a lot to do with the area you live in. I live in the SF bay area, and Comcast has been pretty solid for me for a few years now.

What state do you live in? Maybe other forum posters here who live in the same state could give you their opinion.

Otherwise you could always try asking your neighbors what they use and if they're satisfied with it.

    Good luck!

I'm in South Carolina. My family and I use CenturyLink (was Embarq). It's been pretty solid here except for when the North Carolina hub goes down or the phone box gets soaked (not often), plus they have excellent service.

i work for comcast and i'm sorry to hear you've been having problems. the problems you are having most likely aren't with your service but are with the actual lines in your house. you should call and get a service call setup to get that fixed. not trying to sell you or anyone else on comcast but the service is great, you shouldn't be having issues like that and we will be more than happy to get it fixed for you b:cute
