Yeah, I agree. You know...cuz clerics and psychics really need to put physical shards in their weapons to make it more stronger when they slap the mob....

and you know what too? the magical shards in melee weapons! That should be put it in, of course, cuz you know...All the melee classes have all these variety of magical spells they could use!

The strong fragrance of Trolling fulfills this...

Wait I forgot, physical shards in weapons increase the effect of plume shot xD

It definitely shows that some actual thought/research has to go into how you develop your character; it really does take some time to understand everything that's involved.

You may not remember, but you too were a noob once...

Okay silly billy :) thank you for a reply thoughb:victory I'm not a person to shove information in your face but well kind of give you some information kindlyb:victory

Say; BM v BM - BM 1 buffs himself with Sage physical marrow and the other BM has 2 +100 magical shards in his weapon also has the rank8 ring and cleric magical buff, now who you thinks going to win? See where I'm getting at.

And for your information, magical shards for magic classes are useless for the shards don't add extra damage, cause they only work for melee weapons.

Come on Serenity, don't feed the trolls...

And OP, if you are truly serious, let me explain something...magical shards increase magic damage when put in weapons, so why shouldn't the magic classes be using them? They don't have any use for physical attack shards in their weapons, because they don't go up and, as Serenity said, "slap the mobs".

Am I missing something or are you trying to convince me that a BM with with more magical attack will win against another BM who has the Sage physical buff? -_-

Let's take this slowly, shall we?

BMs attack with physical attacks (MELEE) thus having magical defense or more magic shards in a melee weapon is useless...cuz you know...magic defense against melee attacks doens't really work out..and as Kritty mentioned having magic shards in weps increases the magic attack and not defense unless imbued in armor..

I would like to say that I can play whatever game I wish, and that I already have my beta key for FW. Thank you, and I would appreciate it if you would troll somewhere else. These forums have enough trolls without some bored people waiting for FW adding to the problem.

Actually, I have achieved plenty in my real life, and you are in no position to throw around such false statements when you don't even know who I am, where I live nor what job I have in the real world.

Also, you're in no position to make statements about me playing MMOs or trolling forums, because if you haven't taken a good look at yourself lately, you're doing exactly the same thing. Thus, if I have no life because I post on a forum and log into a game every now and then, the same must be said for you (if not more so, because at least I know what I'm talking about when I talk about said game.)

I'll see you over on FW. ;)

Why would a mele class need to put in magical attack shards into there weapons anyways??? It has no affect. You need to actually be able to use magical skills for magical attack to work, therefore bm and barbs do not need magical attack.

I see alot of wizards and clerics with magical attack shards.

As for defense shards as a bm I mixed up magic def and physical def. Most use hp however.

And agree with airyll... You have no idea who any of us are or what we do in our life. And quite frankly its none of your business

Only applied to mobs that have elemental weakness?

I am pretty sure what was the correct beginning, actually...

Also, elemental shards would apply a damage increase to those mobs with that particular elemental weakness, otherwise they would just add normal damage equivalent to the +damage stats of all of the elemental shards. It would be halved for an elemental resistance, and would only not apply if the mob is immune to elemental damage.

    Okay, here's my input;

Elemental shards have more output damage, so with one elemental shard, you'd be doing more damage to the opponent against his/her one singular magical resistance.

W/ Magical Shards is against all the opponents resistance defence, but are far less damage than to one single elemental shard due the fact that you are attacking all his resistance.

Well, that's my opinion on that matter anyhow.

Only problem with that is, elemental shards only apply for physical attacks in weapons or resistances if you choose to shard your armor with it. Magical attack/defense shards (sapphires) are used for magical attacks in weapons, and resistances if you choose to shard your armor with them. Physical attack defense shards (garnets) are used for physical attacks in weapons and defense if you choose to shard your armor with them.
