These things may be the problem:

    - Crappy internet connection

    - Firewall/Antivirus blah blah

    - Wrong installed files

    - Problem with hardware (graphic card / overheat, whatever)

    - Account sharing (meaning someone else loggs in your account while you are playing)

Can't think of more right now.
Feel free to PM me for help.

Could you please provide us with trace routes from your computer to our servers that you play on?

    1) Click on Start > click on Run (or in the Windows Search box)> type in cmd

    2) On this screen type in (exactly as it is typed here): tracert pwieast1.perfectworld.com (You can use any of the IP addresses to our servers that are listed below. Try several.)
Please note there is a space between "tracert" and "pwieast1.perfectworld.com"

    taeeril1 Your traceroute looks fine.

If you are using a university/school network, you may have to contact their IT Department or System Administrators to open ports and add the IPs for the game servers to their allowed domains.

ok here is a couple things you can try,
first of all go to speedtest.net select the closest server to you then a test will perform on your connection speed run this a few times but copy the link on each attempt and paste in a reply,

second thing you can look into video card or cpu may be over heating you can check the cpu temp in the bios, if you do not know how to do this it's best you go look in your motherboards manual, and with the video card go to the manufacturer of your card they may have a program you can use that will show you the temperature of the GPU.

hope this helps, good luck :D

Don't hate me for posting this, but here are some things that might help you...

Add the game folder and/or game file to the exceptions list in your firewall or antivirus software.

Example: C:\Perfect World Entertainment\Perfect World International

You also might need to temporarily disable your antivirus, MS Security Essentials or Windows Firewall long enough to download, install, patch and login to get into the game, and then turn it back on. Sometimes disabling may not help and you will need to add an exception for the game folder.

It might be Windows, Windows Firewall, Admin (such as running the game as Administrator), UAC, network, or antivirus settings that you will need to change so that they aren't blocking or throttling the game.

You can also try changing your proxy settings for Internet Explorer 8, to have them turned off here: Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > and then untick all of the proxy settings.

If you still need additional help, please Search our Knowledge Base for the terms mentioned above. Let us know what you tried and what errors you got when you reply to us.

    Thanks!

I don't know if this applies but are you running a router? Several people in my guild had this problem and after removing the router or going to a better one the problem was solved.

Playing on public wireless anywhere is a bad idea, because the amount of people logged onto it at the same time can limit the amount of connection speed you get. This is probably what is causing your problems. Find an Ethernet port somewhere, and plug into it to see if that helps.

I am having a DC problem as well. I play PW from home on a 1.5mbps Cable connection on my desktop and i also play from work using my laptop on a 6mbps dsl connection. I am getting disconnections constantly on both pc's, on both internet connections. I work as a pc technician for a living and have checked pc temps bypassed routers, tried both wireless and ethernet, even tried from family members homes using my laptop and still get disconnected. I also play hereos of the three kingdoms and world of ******** and have had no DC issues with either of those. Any help would be very much appreciated. I am really enjoying this game and have brought several friends/family over to it who enjoy it very much as well. Thank you
