Will my cash shop stuff drop if someone kills me?
I know I would be very very upset about that if it did.
Since I just got my 30 it's kind of an important thing to know.

    If it did you would of been able to use the search function and find over 500000000000000 threads about it.

    Everything has a small chance to drop if you are red and depending on how red you are.... There is a chart about it somewhere... I'll try to look it up.


    Thought sanctuary was a pve server???


    Anyways if it bothers you and you are a cash shop player then its a small investment for guardians. These items prevent shattering and dropping when red for pvp. and in pve prevent exp loss on death. Last time I checked on harshlands they were selling in booths for 100k coins a piece

    Sanctuary is a PVE server. If you turn PVP on, you should be aware of the consequences. Also, maybe the OP has a char on a PVP server, which is why he/she is asking. Basically, what LOKI said. Also, try 'searchin' a bit.

    To add to what Loko said. I heard before that dropping items when you are killed by a mob happens rarely, but I'm not sure if it happens while you are in PK or not.

    Already been said but.... Sanctuary is a PVE server so nothing changes when you hit level 30. As long as you stay 'blue named' then you will never drop items if killed (there use to be a small chance of such drops but no longer). If you want to turn on the PVP mode, then yes, there is a range of drop percentages so you might want to buy Guardian Angels if you are planning to PVP (cash shop items are vulnerable to dropping like anything else that is not bound).

    Side note: If you are looking for a PVP server you might want to join Lost City or Harshlands.

    It's nice to know that the frequency is low but I also understand that they can change that any time.

    This site is very helpful but not entirely accurate as far as I am aware. To my knowledge, the 1% drop rate for blue named players was removed by a patch in early 2009.

    I remember dropping items on a few occasions as a blue named player when I first started but that does not (technically) happen anymore since the patch. Having said that however, I do not play PWI or pay attention to game developments much anymore so maybe someone more knowledgeable, and who is "in the know" can confirm or refute what I have said.

    You could be right, it is what I found when I searched. Thought it was "nicer" than just telling a fairly new player "shoulda used search" It was a response from a GM so I figured it may be close b:laugh
