Hi to all my fellow BARBS. b:victory

last night we ran a BH 51 with a lvl 64 barb 66 psy 67 cleric and an archer cant remember her lvl...

Anyhow the lvl 64 barb had 94 more hp than me and around 1k less P def. all he could say was "i tank". i left him to it and cleric died on 1st mobs because he can not keep aggro or erm FLESH REAM. After a while he realized he could flesh ream then cleric took aggro again just by healing him OMG..... He got kicked by the squad leader and then took it out on me saying im a fail barb lol.... the whole squad asked me to tank because he fails.... lol i cracked myself... Funny part was he took it out on me when he got kicked and I did not even kick him.

None the less we finished the BH with no more deaths.

More and more Barbs power lvl and never learn how to tank..

For more Barb win:

Couple days ago, did a BH51 (why is it that all funny stuff seems to happen in 51? but I digress) and we picked up this sin who insisted on skill spamming and taking aggro (seriously, it's easy for a sin to control their aggro, I should know), then blaming it on the Barb (who is quite competent, btw), harassing me over weapon choice, bossing around the Barb, etc.

Barb lets him take aggro about 10k HP from killing Wyvern and die b:chuckle

BARB-+1(000000)
fail sin- negative 2 (died AND didnt get credit for kill b:victory)

In the fishies defense, if a barb can't hold aggro without the fishy doing major! damage control, and the fishy is able to tank, don't let it be a pride thing and step aside and let the fish get IH stacked and tank. They know if they can tank or if they need to damage modify.

I have had several times where I've said "I'll tank, please stack me" because the barb did a poor job at holding aggro. Cleric stacks me, I start tanking, barb starts FRing, so the cleric is bouncing IH's back and forth with aggro, and because I am tanking with damage I win and get alot more damage without being IH stacked and I die. Then I hear that I should watch my aggro.

If there is a person who can tank and clearly out DD's the rest of the squad enough he can hold aggro, let him. Let the cleric stack him. DD and debuff.

Sabre - Raging Tide

Sakubatou, you get jackass clerics that will heal the barb and let the assassin die even if the barb agrees to let the sin tank (barb stays in true form to devour). Clerics need to adapt and wise up. Most are capable but some are ignorant pricks. That cleric should have only healed you since it was agreed you'd tank, and the barb has the phys.def and HP to take the odd hit if he decides to be a smartarse and Ream. You're a squishy fish that has been designated tank, you should have been healed.

My only tanking issues are my DDs, and the fact they attack different mobs, taking longer to bring them down.
And yesterday, ran with an archer and 3 clerics and a veno in 59. Finished 3 bosses in just under 55 mins (normally takes that long 1 cleric me and 4 DD classes), and apparently the archer steals agro alot on bosses (I say apparently because I have no agro issues with bosses, even with him)... so my question is what kind of barbs are popping up now?

well as to the fish ppl ( whom I call an "***" xD ) yeah they do major damage but always tries to steal aggro from the barb ( normally at a boss ) just to see if they can do enough damage to take aggro off the barb ( and me if it happens i ask not to try take aggro.... when he takes aggro again cuz he is spamming skills i stand up and dd till he dies and take aggro again ) aaaannnnndddd then as all us fluff balls know the QQ starts " fail barb he can not keep aggro from me " lol this is me behind my computer screen ( b:laugh ) its so funny lol

but as of late I have not come across a fail barb yet b:victory

Hehehe, I do the same. However, a lot of the times the clerics are just to pro to let the sin/bm die....

I did a BH on my cleric the other day. The barb just refused to AOE? He's munching one mob, no aggro at all on the other 4 around him. One heal, and there's 4 mobs on me. Archer tries tanking them to keep me alive... Squad wipe.

Q_Q and i met one in fcc the other day..... i tanked the boss... wth?

=__= and he died at every single mob pull before he even reached shade...... *facedesk*

fail barbs are nightmares... but good barbs are so wonderful and i never forget them,

Mkay you don't forget the good ones those lil flufflies are soooo cute..
(when they do the damn job right)

BUT you NEVER EVER forget the fail ones b:shocked (The sight of a barb using claws in stand-up form *level 56 btw, in a bh, didn't even have his Tiger form learned....* is just one...you can never forget b:shutupb:shocked)

Dagnatic - Sanctuary

For fail squad members i always try to use the good old agro stealing method, slow down on the FR and wait for em to crit, couple of hits (always good to make sure cleric doesn't notes Agro switch) then where their dead whip back the agro and look all innocent, worked like a charm in my BH51's,

I discover'd this method when they Invented the T'borns and they first started catching up to me, One of the funniest things was i was in a faction squad with a phyco, i mean phicic or w/e they're called, who was bagging out my Agro abilities when they were attacking the mobs i wasn't whilst roar was in cool down, Only problem was, she was bagging me out in vent, Not realizing i was on vent, Boy did she cop some **** form me, 3 seconds later she was dead again, and the squad was without a tank.

The moral to this story is, There is always a way to make a squad member learn there lesson.
