Thank you, that helped alot. I will try the "enter" trick! It helps more than you know!

I want everyone to know that I just walked from Archosaur to Broken Bridge Village. Well good for you. So did every Venomancer and Barbarian before you. So, NO, i AM NOT LAZY. Speaking as a noob. I stand by this... this game is NOT newbie friendly! Get over it. You said you wanted to play THIS GAME. So learn to play.Unless you actually walked from Archosaur to Broken Bridge Village, please dont' bother to respond to that statement. Every Venomancer and Barbarian has done it. Every Blademaster and Wizard has done it. The only reason why TB's don't is because they get auto-teleported to Archosaur. If you can fly.... DON'T respond. There's the attitude. If you were on my server and 3x, I would probably curb-stomp you. I jumped over mountains, changed my directions several times, and finally got to "Little Daisy". So did the rest of us at 2x. Is there a point yet? Please stop with the "you must be lazy comments".

    Thanks again, Dyskrasia

Responses in orange. I would suggest changing the tone a little, or you'll be labeled as one of the 'new generation' of thankless, rude, and sarcastic "I'm such a bad@ss" noobs. Not saying you are. But change the tone. If you didn't mean for it to come out like you're on route to being a 'new gen' noob, both you and I are sorry I guess.

    quote of quote

hey, swimming to archo is fun! especially if you then find out that you have a quest in RT, tele back, get it and then it teles you back to archo b:cry

OP: i'm afraid that you persuaded yourself that the game is not newbie friendly at all.
it is obvious that i cant change your mind.

i can just say what I did before I even finished downloading the game: read all stickies guides in the forums
I'm not saying that everyone should do that but you cant just open a text editor and expect to write an awesome program either

what i find funny, is the insane lazyness of this OP, just cos u went from 1 place to another which took u a while, doesnt qualify u as *not lazy*, as the person that quoted u in orange said, we've all done it...

when perfect world-malaysian version OBT came out, which was a couple years or so before this version was out, everything was still at its basics, there was no auto pathing, wonna no how we found everything? the co-ordinates that it says the NPC was at in the quest log, just under ur map is a green arrow, click on it, enter the co-ordinates in, open ur map on and viola, theres a flag there to tell u where it is, now u can manualy move there without some auto path feature.

btw this game is actualy newbie friendly, question marks pop up every so often giving u hints and tips on how to do stuff, im betting u diddnt bother to read any of them.

what i cant understand is how theres ppl that are so confused on these games, this was i think the second or 3rd MMO i came to play, i was a very clueless noob, but i figured it all out praticly on my own as i never like asking for help unless badly needed.

I wouldn't give up, there are some mean people but nice people too. (I guess I can be both at times)

Just ignore the mean ones and make a few friends, find a good faction.

And it's rather easy to get help with fbs; heck I'm out of quests except in TT/FC so I'd help even a person I didn't like with a fb. (and I actually do solo fbs/bhs for random low lvls quite a bit, if they ask politely. Raging at me or randomly squading me? No)

Thing to remember is players are actual people, and we all have our bad days and good days. Don't assume you did something wrong, they may just have stuff going on. And a few may actually be jerks, but who cares?

    Have fun b:bye

I may haved missed seeing what server you are on, but I am on the Sanctuary server and would be glad to help with questions, mobs, quests, bosses, or just a friendly person to chat with. You can message me on AbbyDabby, Abby/Normal or Ramboney.

The faction I'm in, Wolf_Den, takes any player, any level, any class, and we don't demand you be "active" because we play when we can. The game should be fun, and we would love to help you have some fun.

TI want everyone to know that I just walked from Archosaur to Broken Bridge Village. So, NO, i AM NOT LAZY.

you wanted to unlock the teleport points at broken bridge and wellspring village, i take it? you would've already had city of lost since the pre-20 levels, so assuming you're not untamed (in which case you would've had them all) you could have simply walked to wellspring and tele'd to broken bridge. or spent the extra coin to tele from archo to lost, then to wellspring. although i'm usually too stingy for that, myself...

the untamed-area teleport points are definitely worth opening, they're a main (and cheap) east-west route across the middle of the map. i tended to use them a lot for getting to town of arrivals when i was questing around there, that and the puppyport from lost to archo.

protip: if you can't fly yet, consider swimming. it's similarly fast (slow) as walking is, but the water mobs in most rivers are generally low-level and not too aggressive, so less risk of running into something you can't handle.
Speaking as a noob. I stand by this... this game is NOT newbie friendly! Unless you actually walked from Archosaur to Broken Bridge Village,

i swam from raging tides to archosaur harbor, once. granted i did that on my assassin, so i used tide form; even so, it was a slow and boring exercise. i don't recommend it. nor would i disavow being lazy just because i did that the one time.

Hmmm...I'm pretty sure Perfect World was my first MMO. And I will agree that many elements of it were beyond me as a newbie. Movement was rather difficult until I figured out I had other options, for instance. But I've never felt that it was completely beyond my grasp, or that I couldn't figure things out on my own if I just looked things up in the forums or on Google.

I guess you just need to figure out if PW is worth playing or not. If it's not, you should try another game. If it is, perhaps you should ask people for more advice and/or take the advice already given?

Regardless, no matter how many times you declare that PW isn't newbie friendly, it's not going to magically change and become whatever it is you want it to be instead.

~_~ depends on the server I guess. I was "brought up" by a few high level(venos) when I was a tiny venomancer.

It was similar experience for my psychic as well.

For help with quests yeah that can be tough sometimes -,-.

Find some guild, there is alot of faction(guild), which recruting like "all levels". You will find alot helpful persons in here and you will make some friends very fast. Well you can always ask for help or any informations in faction. After you will level to 60 it will be alot more fun. But till that the best way is to quest, and buy weapons and armors from NPC's or legendary, if it's cheap. You can get to lvl 60 in 1-3 weeks, depends how much you know the game and how much time you play. :))
