I have a friend who wants to join pwi but he has a mac. He has been telling me that his comp wont download the game correctly and that he needs mac bootcamp (windows on a mac) to be able to get it. Does anyone know if there is a way to get pwi without a pc or bootcamp?

3 ways, nothing is really perfect

    1) Bootcamp - Installs windows on a separate partition
    - needs a copy of windows
    - you have to reboot into windows mode
    - runs the same as on a PC

    2) Crossover Games - runs PWI in a windows emulator
    - dont have to reboot
    - dont need windows
    - Some graphics glitches
    - slow

    3) Parallels Desktop - Runs windows in a virtual machine
    - dont have to reboot
    - needs a copy of windows
    - no graphics glitches
    - seems a bit slower than crossover

Crossover is not an emulator it's based on WINE which its name literally is Wine is not an emulator, its a port of the Windows API to *NIX based systems which included Mac and Linux

You could also use a recent version of VirtualBox with the right settings it does use the GPU for 3d rendering now

Cool thank you very much. However, do any of these cost money because his parents wont let him spend anything on this...
