... I was looking for personal opinions of many people who have played em all.. No matter what you look at in class discussions, It will all be biased0

wizard when outfitted at highest levels, is the godliest caster in game. highest magic attack, possibility for blademaster like defense, unparalleled magic defense, beastly spells...0

Unless you plan to cashshop all your gear, don't make a magic class. You will be a leecher or not wanted in most endgame instances, you won't solo anything near (and I mean anything near) what a sin/fist BM can with half the gear, and you are far squishier. You will have like more than 3 times less DPS than even a cheap -interval sin/fist BM (not 5aps!) and die twice as easy. Your control skills sort of suck in comparison to most melee classes (unless you are a psy and really there's only Earth Vector worth mentioning). If you like magic classes and want to feel useful in instances that are worth doing, I suggest you look at another game. If you think you can PvP well, have fun PvPing with **** gear when the melee have 3 times better gear and money from farming. (again, unless you cashshop your gear).
tl;dr This is a game where archers use fists to take down bosses instead of bows because they deal 5 times or more damage. Take your guess about magic classes which have even lower DPS than a bow archer and can't use fists effectively at all.0 -
Wizard, because if you can gear them up (however you choose), they rock PVP. PVE not so much, but definitely PVP.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I've heard well geared wizzards work really well at end game. Even at mid levels with good EQ they got realitvly high defenses and high DPH. THe hardest magic class to play for sure though.
Clerics are pretty flexible and will always be wanted in squads (even 5APS squads need them). Probably the easiest magic class to level at higher levels (except maybe Venos, but I've heard they have trouble getting into squads at high levels).0 -

Archer. They have magic, crit, and interval all rolled into one. Can also normal attack if they run out of mana. b:nosebleed0

Veno - I probably enjoy this class the most. There are many ways to regen your hp and mp with skills, and many ways to build chi (cruicial in pvp). They're a versatile class when it comes to builds and all builds are extremely fun to play with. I love the speed of demon venos, and the fact that pets aid you in various ways.
Psychics - Love the high damage and the fast casting. The voodoos are amazing as is bubble of life. I love their various stuns and reflects. However their running speed makes me want to /headdesk.
Cleric - PvE-wise, it was a pain in the *** to play clerics because they always get the blunt end of the stick, and it's very frustrating. On the other hand, you're wanted in every squad so leveling will never be a problem. Downside is the sacrifices in dolls/exp/charms when you die, their lack of speed and the general frustration at the inconsideration of fellow squad members. PvP-wise, they are fun, but definitely not my first choice to PvP with for damage reasons. Perhaps I need to refine more.
Wizard - This class is loads of fun at mid levels, but incredibly squishy. It's a large trade-off to be able to use hard hitting skills but also die in 1-2 hits. Also - the slow channeling bugs me as does their lack of speed. However they are amazing to play in territory wars due to their ultimate AOE attacks. At end-game wizards are a force to reckon with.0 -
I'd say cleric, wizards and psys aren't wanted outside of pk. veno's are semi wanted if they have herc. but clerics are much wanted for both pve and pvp aspects of the game.
Only hitch in it, is if you want to deal dmg. then you're much better off taking a melee class.0 -
lol@borsuc.
the world doesn revolve around bm/archer/sin + 5.0.
real wizards can easily have BM like defenses with buffs +stone barrier. put expel on your genie, utilize your knockbacks and sleep, and shrink and you should never die. lrn 2 wizard if you think theyre so bad0 -

I really hope you did not meant knockbacks in pvp b:laugh.
Wizard is decent in both pvp/pve survival, but as said before Wiz are not needed in instance. So farming is a pain unless you have good friends that want to squad with you.0 -
actually you can knockback in PvP by exploiting rubberbandin b:avoid[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

The cash shop class..........[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

you need to refine more i've non crit 1 shot barbs
plus mag debuff and 30 second sleep0 -

You need to stop killing lvl 30 barbs. I'm full mag, have +12 rank 8 weap, and on decent barbs, when I mag debuff, spark, and use extreme poison on them, I still can't tick their charm with 1 hit.
Other than that, clerics are useful in pve and pvp, and if you're a decent cleric, you shouldn't get the blame in pve- but if you do make mistakes then yes it can be very noticeable and you will get blamed for it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I love veno, but venoes are not a magic classes, they are hybrid. So lets cross them out.
Psychic-I like the fast casting, they are pretty fun to play
Cleric-My bff ingame told me being a cleric is really fun to play unless you squad with bad squads things will get frustrating.
Wizard - My bff said wizards are not squishy to magic and it is impossible for them to die in 1-2 hits unless they are wearing npc gears.0 -

This...You can hit decent on non-magic classes, but compared to other magic classes, cleric damage is pretty crappy. End-game psys and wiz are much more fun to PvP with against similarly geared foes.0 -
Funny observations on how all classes fight in duels:
Wizard: Evasive, slow casting hard hitting, squishy..... Likes to run... A lot... does funny poses and throws flaming poker cards, assumes they think they're Gambit.
Psychic: Fast casting, Healing, Mid to hard hitting Psuedo-squishy with voodoo/Psychic will. Hard to hit, out of fear of Suicide, smells like tuna.
Venomancer: Strange caster with pet, hard to hit due to "heavy armored variant" Spiky and pokey to punch; bug things thrown at me, dont hurt so much, but Big orange firebird thrown at me with "Peck of doom" makes me bleed uncontrollably. Always distracted by the tail: Note to self, cut off tail take it to examine for its "mind control powers"
Cleric: Heals, heals....heals.....heals..... Sleeps....electrocutes, then runs. Note: tastes like chicken.
Archer: Wonders how they can aim a bow/crossbow/slingshot so accurately when "flamingo-ing." Strange feathery people, with lots of pointy sticks/balls of pain. Suicidal bunch, they at early age die, a lot, (or at least a friend liked to do so: made a drinking game out of "When Tana dies") They often like to "aim low" Note: thankfully I dont have dander allergies, my wife's plumage would kill me when she molts...
Assassin: does a funny dance. Hard to hit, and likes to think they're blademasters. Funny Aoe attacks that make me think of Naruto. Likes to think they're sneaky by turning invisible. Assumes they're vampires, but then...why are they out in the day time? Note: why do they do a funny dance?
Barbarian: Really....Really...REALLY big kitteh. Likes to play with people bigger than it. Strangely doesnt die. Guess its true that cats have nine lives. Solution: throw catnip/shiny thing/ball O'String, before fighting one, should keep them distracted.
Blademasters: Does a really funny dance, Many do "poke of doom," forgot how to use big hammers. Swords and spears frowned upon. Likes to stun....Really likes to stun. Likes to think they're barbarians, but less furry. Wonders why a Blademaster cant use daggers/crossbows, they're both bladed.. Note: Able to leap tall buildings in a single afternoon.Good intentions are like peeing yourself in dark leather pants, you get warm feelings inside, but it doesn't show.0 -

Defenses don't mean jack when your HP is low and you don't have bloodpaint... not that you have so high DPS to benefit from it anyway. Bloodpaint + extreme DPS = epic.
Since when do knockbacks and sleep work on bosses or instances, or really anything that's worth farming? Even if it did work, sleep has like what 2 min cooldown, and knockback 8s, clearly something you can use on every boss, nevermind the fact that they are incredibly fast in movement.
I mean really, when a wiz has trouble soloing TT solo mode uncharmed when a melee can solo squad mode (the easier bosses ofc) with HALF THE GEAR kinda makes you wonder doesn't it? Not really.
And I wasn't even talking about wizards, even though my char is a wiz... psychics or other magic classes don't have it any better. Clerics may only be useful for a res now and then if you **** up or you lag or something.
I mean really, when you see TT90+2 sin outDPSing your TT99+7 like three times (read that again, THREE TIMES OVER), how does that make you feel? Even if you had INCREDIBLE defense, when you are in fact much more squishy from lacking bloodpaint+high DPS epicness, you still would farm slower (3x slower in this respect), making you still ( a lot) worse. And that "if" is false unless you have like epic gear or something. But like I said, a sin with that kinda epic gear can even tank TT3-3 (yes the one after the patch!) on my server.
In other words, melees are 400% or more times more effective in PvE with 50% or less the gear. Wow incredible balance here. b:bye0 -
iv played a wiz for over a year, got him to 100, CV wand, good gear, i played a psy for about 4 months now, got him to 100, CV sphere good gear, psy facerapes my wizard -_-, in terms of att (and my psy is LA and his damage per shot is equal to my wiz w/ same refine, WTF), in terms of AoE (wiz has 2 long cooldown no chi AoE and a few ultis wihle psy has 5 spamable AoEs, AoE stun , and even aoE bleed), in terms of surviablity (pop white voodoo, soulburn, and laugh as they kill themsleves trying to break thogfuh ur charm), and jsut overall better skills, id go w/ psy any day.....which kinda pisses me off bc time spent on wizfull 3r9 +11/12 (still using immac shards though) w/o CSing, leveled to 105 spaming pv, yes i have no life =D0
