Veno level, Pet level, and Mob drops

I know in squads having a high level character help low level characters kill low level mobs, can **** up the drop rates for others in the squad. Is the same true with pet levels, veno levels and mob drops?

For example, if I level 20 veno kills a level 10 mob, he won't get any drops. But what happens if the level 20 veno has a level 10 pet, and the pet kills the level 10 mob? Does the mob drop goodies?

From what I can tell with squads, it seems that it looks at the levels of the characters that did damage to the mob. Does the same happen with veno level and pet level? So what happens if the level 10 pet kills the level 10 mob (and all the veno does is heal the pet)?

I don't think so. Things like that are just based on your character, and even if you don't touch the mob at all, the game still registers you as the one that killed it (rather than the pet) because a pet is just an extension of a veno.

if that were the case, no veno would ever lack for hay, fruit, or other low-level-farmable drops. since that's not so, and might even be considered a game exploit if it were so, drop rates must be based on the veno's level instead of the pet's.

As LennieClarke and Dyskrasya have correctly stated, a veno's pet has no effect on drop rates. Only the veno's level counts for this purpose.
