That WAS their stats at the same level (level 100), they don't have anywhere NEAR that high of stats at 17/19.

walker has marginally better HP and noticeably better mdef; magmite has pdef better by a small enough margin i doubt you'll notice. if you're a level 19 veno, get the walker. on the other hand i know people who were playing venoes before the tideborn expansion who never switched out their magmites, and never suffered for it either.

similar argument goes for the varicose scorpion and dark wanderer, as well as the petite sawfly and flying skatefish.

Actually, the petite sawfly remains the best free air pet; it's marginally better than the skatefish (though they're close enough as not to make any real difference.)

if it's a choice between keeping the magmite or putting 28 levels on a walker just to catch up with where your magmite is now... i have a walker on this char, but i'd keep that magmite if i were you.

It all depends on if you want to buy one or tame one yourself and looks.I much prefer the look of a Magmite over the Walker and they are easier to go and tame even if you walked the all way there if no air mount. It goes the same with your first air and water pet all close to you.

Stat wise sure the walker will beat it magically but the magmite does do good physical damage as it has bash so over all the Magmite wins.I am talking in inherit skills none added or lvled.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

the cube of fate is a thing you can enter beginning at level 40. how do you enter it? easy, find any khatru pup (big doggy things, stand next to adventure assistant NPCs in every major city) and ask it to let you in.

most folks only use it for a free teleport to archosaur; enter cube, run across the room, exit cube --- it doesn't exit you where you entered, it always dumps you in north archosaur. convenient, if you wanna go to north archosaur anyway. and if you're level 40 you can do that as often as you want, for free.

however, you can also go deeper into the cube if you want --- once a day; you need a "duty badge" from the khatru pup, which the doggy will only give you once a day. ask the pup for the badge, then ask the pup to enter the cube, then go to the MIDDLE of the room and talk to the herc to start the cube of fate quest.

running the entire cube start to finish is a randomly expensive thing you're unlikely to actually manage before level 70 or so. go in with plenty of coin and plenty of mirages beforehand, if that's what you want to try. but if you only wanna train some veno pets then you only really need to get into room #4, which isn't nearly as hard or frustrating --- although still random. you'll still need some mirages with you when you go in, four to eight of them depending on how lucky you feel.

read the guides i linked to before you try it. it's not that hard, really; trickiest part is navigating the various NPCs in room #1, because their menus are confusing as heck.

In order to start the Cube of Fate challenge you need two things: Puzzle Cube and Dice Tickets.

In order to get the Puzzle Cube do as Lenie explained. Get a Badge of Duty and talk to the NPC in the middle. Quest Related >> Cube of Fate. He'll give you a Puzzle Cube. As long as you have it in your inventory you can take the challenge. If you teleport out, you lose it and therefore can't take the challenge again.

You can make the Dice Tickets with Mirages at the forges there or buy the tickets from the catshops inside Cube (there are always people selling them....)

Talk to the NPC in the centre against and this time choose 'Start Challenge' or something like that. Hope that you receive Dice Cube: 3 that is what you need in order to enter the Mice Bashing room. If you receive something else, town teleport out, talk to NPC again, get another dice.

It sounds confusing but once you get the hand of it, it will be easy.

to clarify --- what Desdi's talking about here is what to do if you end up in a cube room other than the one you want to get to, #4. then, you want to get back to room #1 and try again, and town teleport is one way to do that. but of course, that's only good once an hour.

another way is simply to fail the room. in every cube room, the way to go forward is to succeed at some quest so that the main NPC will give you a new die --- what the quest actually is, depends on the room. just take the quest, and deliberately don't succeed; you'll be sent back to #1 for free.

a third way is to die, but that's only possible in some of the rooms.

    Crystaline Magmite > Glacial Walker
Why? Because the magmite looks so, so much cooler b:cool

Stat-wise though, Walkers have a bit more HP and significantly more mdef. I think the patk is a tad bit lower (may be remembering wrong though) but the significantly higher mdef will make Walkers far superior to Magmites when it comes to tanking. If you can get your hand on Reflect, Strong and Protect for less than the cost of a herc, I'd recommend you get an OP Walker if you don't plan on farming HH 24/7.
