Hello PWI Forums.
Most of you have seen me around, spamming and posting sarcastic digs at our new moderators and such.
But these forums have been a madhouse and people I enjoy talking to are being banned and starting to go at each other in these threads.
So I'm going to man up and admit something: I've overreacted. We've overreacted. I apologize. Do you?
To the mods who are hopefully reading this: I disagree with things you've said. I even disagree with your reasoning behind some of the things you do.
But I disagree with a lot of people, and that shouldn't lead to an outburst like this forum has seen. I apologize.
However, I don't feel that I should bear all the blame. I believe that we, the forum-users, are also owed an apology for some of the things that have been said. I ask that you use this thread if you choose to meet me halfway here.
To FrankieRaye and the GMs, really the same thing applies to you. I apologize for the ways I've made your job difficult in the last few days.
Again, I believe you also owe us an apology of sorts. Tempers flared this week, I know, but the best thing for all of us to do is bite the bullet and apologize on both sides.
Allow me to echo what level-headed people like RedsRose have been saying: We just want our voices acknowledged. Really, that's all we want. Sticky a thread and make it solely for interaction with the playerbase; become a member of the community to want to moderate, and the job will be half done.
Playerbase, it's not all on the GMs and Mods though. Suck up your disappointment and give them a chance. Like it or not, this is what we've got to live with for the forseeable future, so it's in all our best interest to return to normal. I know it's hard to resist a good rage, but it simply must be done.
After all...
It's only a game.

I'm sure most of us are sorry. The ones that aren't are either banned or very close to it.
Of course things like these happen. Especially when you have to hold your rage for months and then suddenly you can just... snap. I'm pretty sure the rage will die by next week though.
I haven't posted many posts regarding mods, and I probably won't. However if I have insulted someone, I apologize.
Btw add a poll: "are you sorry" yes/no.100% F2P player. Started PW: March 2007, Quit PW: March 2011.

I'll second this. We do share in the burden of the forum's decline through many of our attitudes. I also apologize and would like to make that extensive to other members of our comunity.
Edit; I'm not so sure about the poll, it could easily become flamebait.0 -
Some have tried to be fair with their points, most are weak enough to be caught up in the frenzy of a few, thinking it is cool, brave and grown up. I haven't seen any of those come back strong enough to stand like you have, Loltank.
I've posted some views which were very negative. I'm also sorry for that, I only tried to post in a fair yet firm manner but sure, likely overstepped the mark.
Agree the poll would likely become flamebait.
Some people should really feel very guilty if Frankie loses his/her job for the crass, childish behaviours of a half to a dozen people.
Sure, some errors were made, we're constantly learning in our jobs and day to day life, so can the forum users.0 -
I'm not sorry, but sucks certain ppl are no longer here now.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I never made an outburst (unless someone wants to point me to one that I forgot o.O), but I was as angry as many of you in private. >_> I just didn't want to say anything bannable, and more importantly, I just didn't know what to say that would properly sum up what I feel about this in a civil manner (though I've made a few odd posts here and there).
I will echo the OP. GMs... Frankie in particular. Authority figures are not right simply because they are authority figures. Admit you are human. Admit you make mistakes, and (ideally) that this is one of them. Begin a dialouge with us, and we will help to maintain it. Be a part of this community.
I would go so far as to say that the future of these forums depends on it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

I'm going to bump this.
I guess you guys were successful, because there are no mods to be seen.
I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not this is cause for celebration or cause for shame.
Been a hell of a week, eh?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
