Hi everyone. I will be getting a herc in a few weeks, but I can't decide if it would be better to put it on my lvl 60 or start a new veno and lvl like that. I don't mind questing in fact I like questing alot lol and it doesn't seem to take that long to lvl. And I've heard lvling a pet in the cube of fate is extremely boring. So, what is everyones opinions or thoughts on this?

I already had 2 venos on the same account and an account stash on the one server where I have gotten a herc, so I used the lower level veno (who had been relegated to shop) to level the herc up a good ways, then passed the egg through the account stash (the only way to trade a herc once you've converted the ticket into an egg) to pass it to the higher level veno, who leveled it the rest of the way... all without venturing into the cube.

In all honesty I'd just cube the herc and get it caught up. I don't see how flying from npc to npc or killing the same mobs 50-65 times is any more or less fun than killing statues in cube. It wouldn't take that long anyway, and personally I'd find it more fun to solo BH51 (getting better xp quicker in the process) with a herc (which is what I did last year) than grinding. I'm also a dungeon **** (preferring FF, FB/BH, RB, Lunar, Warsong, and Nirvana) regardless of class so that might bias my opinion slightly. b:bye

You can get your herc to level 60 in about 2~3 hours inside the cube, sure it's borring but after 3 hours or 1hit killing tombstones you get the ability to solo pretty much every instance (not fb69). b:pleased

imo cube is your best/fastest option unless you are realy unhappy with your veno's build.

Thanks for the replys! I think I might stick with my lvl 60 veno after all. And I feel fine with the build I have. I caped vit at 25 points and went with 9mag 1str every 2 lvls after that. Another question, Does anyone know of a site that lists all the places or things you can solo at a given lvl with a herc? If not thats fine, I'm sure it would be fun finding out b:laugh

    Best option? -lol

Go **** off people trying to finish their quest and level their hercs.
    Get bunk for xp/sp/ drops.
    Get dismal AoE opportunities

    instead of:

    Great drops
    Great AoE
    Decent XP / SP

I do not believe there is such a comprehensive list. your ability to solo things will greatly depend on your equipment - especially at later levels - best solution would be to go and try things your self and see what you can handle. Also, just because someone here posted they couldn't solo boss XXX does not mean they used the right tactics to do it (or to fail doing it...). Just go out and try things and enjoy the game...if it does not work out come back after you get your next pet heal lvl (every level ending in 3) and try again.

You can solo ANY regular mob in the game world. At lvl60, I was fighting lvl108's. You suffer badly from the level gap, damage wise, but herc does not. It's S L O W, but that's what you can do with him.

I am one of the few people that find cube leveling to be very boring to the point that I dont often use it for pet leveling.
