Okay, so I have an archer, she's level four. I recently found out about the whole dexterity and vitality and the whole points thing in general. I added to the Magic one before finding out it's of no use to me. These are currently my stats:

Vit: 8
Mag: 8
Str: 8
Dex: 11

Alright... so, yeah. I have the Stinging Bow currently equipped and also the Woven Fang Arrows as my ammo.

The bow, or any bow I equip for that matter, turns red and I can't use it I've been trying to find out why by roaming through the forum, but I'm beginning to get impatient xD Yes, I'm a newb, and I didn't know there were guides. I don't usually look at the forums for things.

So yeah, any idea how I can get it back to green? I can use a Wooden Wand to just whack monsters over and over again until they die, but that takes awhile.

I feel really stupid, like there was some big important piece of information I missed while playing the game xD Epic fail.


I also wasn't sure where to put this, so if it was supposed to go somewhere else, sorry!

This probably goes under beginners guide... I'm not sure what the req for stinging bow is, but if you can equip it, before, you should have enough stats to wear the bow. But yea, best way if you can't kill mobs, is to party with someone to finish your quests and turn in for exp. At your level it should take no time.

Woven Fang Arrows are levels 1 - 16

I'm not currently on any quests or anything, I'm just wondering why it won't work

I presume you have to go to a Blacksmith/Tailor/Craftsman/Merchant/Apocthecary and click on Goods.Then click on the repair all button and pay the fee or you can click the repair button then click the bow itself.

the mis-statting is no big deal; at level 4, you haven't yet received enough stat points to really **** yourself up too badly, no matter how you assign them. just use more forethought for the next ten levels, and by the end of that gaming session you should be in decent shape.

not being able to use the bow is curious. check the bow's statistics; one of them should be "durability" or somesuch (i forget the exact word used), presented as an X/Y fraction, X points out of Y maximum. if the X is zero, the bow needs repairing. but you already said that doesn't work, so...

what else do you have equipped? you've got the arrows equipped too, right, not just in your inventory?

I've had this problem too! I found out that what issue I was having was that I really DIDN'T have the stats for the weapon I was using, but I COULD use it because I had on gear the increased my stats. Then I got rid of the gear for better stuff, but I could no longer use the weapon because my stats fell. That could be your problem as well, I'm honestly not sure, but it's worth a shot if you're still having troubles. Hope everything worked out alright, and no worries at this point about the re-distribution of attribute points.
