    Mind you, government spending is generally the best way to give an economy a good run at things, it's just a case of finding the right balance of spending against borrowing to cover the spend.

    This is something that many would say we're failing at here in the UK. There are countries in Europe (in the European Monetary Union too, no less) that should be fairing worse but the UK gets caught in that too, If the Euro is weak, the UK economy must be and if the Euro is strong, that means the UK economy must be in comparison also...
